Foreign spoken man called me claiming he was from BT Customer Service and wished to speak to the privileged owner of any Windows computers in the house.

When I played him along and told him I have a Windows computer, he declared he was phoning me regarding a possible threat to my computer via the use of downloading - and he wanted to help.

I told him I wasn't interested, so he wished me a good day and hung up.

Yesterday, same phone call - though he was a lot more aggressive than today's one.

i just got one as well. Claimed they had a complaint about my Broadband speed from my ISP. Told him that I worked in It and that he was basically talking rubbish. I told him I would report him to my ISP. I then called them and they didn't originate the call. A scam me thinks.

Don't think they will call again.

call ur broadband provider. i work for a broadband/phone company. our customers are getting calls like such and they are completely not legit. we normally just advise our customers to ignore the phone calls.

Just had a call from this number. As I've got caller display and didn't recognise the number I didn't bother to answer. After reading other comments glad I didn't bother. How do you get allocated a number like this as it obviously doesn't contain a valid std code.

How do I stop all these rude and ignorant people abusing my land line number? I thought there was awatchdog to prevent these things!

I've just received a call from this number.  Answered and just said "I am observing the two minute silence" and hung up....

Will not answer again...

Just received a call from this number it was a foreign speaking woman claiming to be from google maps.

Just had message left on answer machine by this number, stating that they are a new Government Initiate to help people in debt!!    
Unless they are gonna give me money for free they know where they can go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just got a call from this number, a foreign man asked me if I was aware that I could get PPI money back and when I told him I had already done this he hung up, ignorant pig!!! Seems they are using broadband AND PPI as an excuse to pester us!! Bloody nuisance

Have been getting two silent calls per. day- this is getting ridiculous!

had 4 calls tonight off 3 different numbers for the same thing, im thinking i might ring sky tomorrow for advice. its getting stupid, i tell them theres nothing wrong with my computer and one turned round and told me im not technical i have to leave it to them....errrr my computer wasnt on the first time you rang div!

Got a call at 11 00 this morning .A foreign sounding man saying he was calling from a p.p.i. claims department.I said no thanks and hung up.We get so many of these calls,how do you stop them?

Keep getting calls from this number telling me that i am due to get £2500 of ppi back. Told them that i never had this loan and they actually shouted at me telling me i had. When i hang up they call me straight back, if i don't answer they let the phone ring, hang up and call me again. It is always a male with an foreign accent possibly indian and they tell me they are calling from a company name A C & C no matter what i do these people won't stop calling me when i told them i am contacting my telephone company they got abusive and vulgar, I then told them i would contact the police but nothing seems to stop them. Also beware they withhold their number after you hang up on the a few times! SOMEONE PLEASE STOP THESE PEOPLE!

saying I had corrupt files and asking us to press certain buttons.  Said he was from PC Advisor but couldn't say why he was providing the support to us.

Very insistant and quite rude.  20 minutes later, when asked for his number as we wanted to check what he was saying with our computer shop he hung up.

Do not do what he asks - this is not legit.

Got a call today saying that my computer was reported and might break lool, I played along until they told me to run a file from friendoftheworld.com. Told the guy that i'll call the police and then he passed to phone to some other guy and then to another guy who told me to [***] off and hung up the phone. I'm disgraced to be an Asian man getting calls from India trying to put a virus into my laptop

surely something can be done about thesenumptys
