Hi guys.. this number is not a scam. Its a direct call centre that alot of different Charities utilise in Australia.  From Cancer Council.. UNICEF... RSPCA... OXFAM etc.

Its an auto dialler used from their PC. They dont leave messages.. the PC will just call the next number.

For me... my phone doesnt even ring. It goes stratight to "missed call". Dont know why. But it is annoying as HELL

Received a call from a "Christian or Chris" claiming to be from Cancer Research NSW, tried to return call but disconnected. They asked for my C/C details over the phone - being first thing Monday morning I was gullible enough to provide this. As soon as I hung up realised it was a SCAM. Blocked my C/C immediately and reported number to Dept. of Commerce (Scam net) in WA.

What kind of phone do you have? Some phones have a reject list or a block list installed on the handset.
If your phone has the feature you should be able to hold your finger on the number in your call history until a option list appears, in that list will be "add to Block list" or "add to Reject List" I have a Galaxy S4 and my hubby has an S5 and they both have this feature. I've also heard that Iphone ISO7 has this too.

Charities are exempt from DNCR they can call as much as they like :(

Yeah I just got a call from this number, no message left. I'm not too keen on answering to be honest :/

I've received at least 4 phone calls from this number in the last week alone. They call me quite often, even late in the evening. I have never answered their calls, but I have recently tried to call them back... All I got was "network busy". DO NOT ANSWER! REJECT REJECT REJECT!!!! I googled it and apparently this number has been traced back to several different locations around the world, but the area code indicates a Queensland Australia number.

I have three missed calls in three days from this number, and after reading the other posts here I have decided not to call it back to find out who it is, and not to answer to it in the future.

Someone from this number keeps calling. When I try to call back the call instantly ends. Today they left a message asking for me by name (first and last)

I get them all the time. Have called back and got the message that it would be about a charity I previously donated to. It would be Amnesty who I stopped donating to because of their annoying constant approaches to increase my donation.  So now they have an external call centre chasing me to come back to them.  No thanks I will stick with my regular donation to the Fred Hollows Foudnation who are so far not using these tactics.

I am also receiving these calls..........The only thing I can think of is I entered an ebay promotion to win $1000

I clicked to enter, I proceeded to fill in a short survey of yes & no answers...........I answered no to almost everything except the question ' Would you donate to the Cancer Foundation' I clicked YES.

I am now being harassed almost daily from which COULD be the Cancer foundation in QLD on my Mobile phone number which I had disclosed on the Survey. I NEVER DISCLOSE MY MOBILE NUMBER - THIS WAS A FIRST

I contacted Ebay as this is a breach of privacy, Ebay proceeded to tell me they DO NOT have $1000 promotion ...........SO GO FIGURE

they called me many times. the first time i answered knowing it was a fishy number and they didnt hang up. they responded with a high pitched squeal then followed by a crowd of people talking. it was very scary for me because i just busted 8 chemtrails out of the plane and i quickly received this call. i feel they are collecting as much information on giving people as they can. very fishy though ;/

I am getting calls from this number all the time. When I try to call back it says "call failed" every single time. Over it I wish I could block it.

After being inundated with phone calls from them, I took their call and informed them  that I was on the do not call register ( I"m not).
Haven't heard from them since :))

i get a call from this number every day - am on the DNC register and my mobile is unlisted anyways but still they persist. I just decline teh call but it's beginning to be really annoying

This person/company calls me continuously on my mobile, never leaves a message and when I tried to call nothing happened.
Calls me at least a few times a week...

This number calls twice a day and hangs up after three rings, never leaving a message. I've donated to various charities in the past but stopped for financial reasons. This is not the way to win back support. I've just missed another call at 11am Saturday, which is the final straw. So many calls, its getting annoying

I just received another call from this number and answered it. It was the Fred Hollows Foundation thanking me for something. The guy said "I just want to thank you so much for completing... Oh hang on!" And he hung up the phone. He never called called back! I am on a silent number, have never donated to this charity, and am on the Do Not Call Register - but he still knew my name and contact details.
