I have a private number and am also on the do not call register, and am sick and tired of constantly receiving phone calls from this number

It is from Cerebal Palsy Alliance.  I answered some questionnaire about Cerebral Palsy and didn't realise they were just going to ring for money.

this number has rung me several times and I dont know who it is and cant understand them.

This number has dialed me 30 times in 10 days. 0736068000 has called 3 times in 3 days. They are unblockable. It started the day after donating to a charity, and I'm never signing up to another charity again. They can promise they won't give out your number, but these organisations routinely sell their contact lists to each other.

This number keeps calling my home phone.   I find it extremely annoying as I am registered on the "Do Not Call Register"
If it doesn't stop, I will be reporting the number.   These marketing calls are nothing short of frustrating and annoying.  I only give my number out to family and thats all I expect to get calls from.

I have received phone calls from this number too. I have just 'Blocked This Caller' on my iPhone!

This number has been calling our home phone for weeks now, always between 7:30-8pm.  I've been ignoring it.  I tried calling this number back but the ring tone isn't the normal double, just a long single ring.  I've only had one message, and that was just background noise and some chatting then a hang up. I think it's probably a charity call centre who are exempt from the Do Not Call Register rules.  We also donate a set amount to our chosen charity and don't want to donate any more, but I guess without these calls, some of them just wouldn't survive, so I'm kind of ok with them trying.

I have received calls from 073606800 more than twice a week, every week for the past two months. I ignore it. No one, charity or business, would repeatedly call like this, or Not answer or Not leave a message if replied to as others have mentioned. I believe this is a scam, that the caller wants your details, that they should be reported, to your provider, even to your local police and stopped. Please try and ignore these calls, and do NOT give any details.

This number is from Canteen, which is a charity that provides support for young people, and the families of young people, suffering from cancer. It's a wonderful cause so please don't be shy about calling them back to make a contribution. As a doctor I've seen the good that this organization provides and wholeheartedly support their every effort. If you aren't inclined to believe me, then look my name up on the AHPRA register of medical practitioners and you'll see that I am who and what I claim to be. Please support Canteen, you never know when you or someone close to you may need their help.

Could have been from the previous person who owned that no.
Wouldnt have anything to do with Optus as a company. Phone numbers are stored in quarantine for a month and then are used again so you probably find that the previous owner of the phone may have put their number in somewhere..

It's PLan international, they are a charity for sponsoring children around the world. :)

Yep I also keep getting called from this number and then hung up on and when i return the call the ring is weird and no one answers. Obviously dodgy so don't answer this number....

I got a call from the above number...like i have read from others, its almost like they are doing heavy breathing and listening for a name...then hang up....tried to call the number back but got nothing.... i get called by this number almost every day!! Veryy annoying

Sick of this number calling me.  I answered and go no reply. Next time I answered with I will report you for constant calling and they hang up.  They dont leave a message so cant be important

Its just charity reps trying for donations... they only do it because they get a cut if they line one up. If you want to donate, your best off skipping the middle man and going straight for the website, that way more cash goes to the needy, not the employee.
