I have just lodged papers against him at the small claims tribunal.  Not sure how it will go, don't really expect to get my money back, but thought I must try anyway.  He took advantage of my good nature and got the hopes up of my 16 yr old daughter, and I won't take that crap from anyone.

I also hassled him until I got a receipt for my payment.  I have copied all emails, texts, phone calls and emails to him on facebook and sent them with my paperwork to small claims.  Fingers crossed!M9A8

I did modelling at Epatant Model Management Brisbane (Wanye Jaye) and actually worked there for a while. I have the WORST experience. I paid thousands and never recieved any comp cards (which u paid for) and got the most unprofessional photos... I never once recieved wages from him.. he made up excuses every week and promised them to we the week after but this never happened. still to this day i have never seen my wages. I decieded to once do a gooogle search on his name and found he had sexual assault charges on from a female who he worked with in Adeliade which he then fled to Brisbane as he never showed his face in court. He never paid rent which resulted to a very unhappy land lord and many police issues. I believe he is a man of fraud and is always on the run. He also suffers from Bipolar. Last i heard about the agency he was teaching catwalk out of an apartment on his driveway...PLEASE be very careful with choosing an agency and what ever you do, you MUST STAY AWAY FROM 'EPATANT'!!!

I think ACA or today tonight is needed! still to this day. Please need to know about him... I Have a massive group of girls who i know will be up for this..

Oh my goodness, I can't believe the number of posts I've read here. I honestly thought that back in 2005 when I was conned by "Wayne Jaye" that I was the only one and I felt so stupid for giving him so much money to take professional photography of me. I should have realised straight away that he has NO TALENT and can't take good photos. The initial photography session was done partly in a dark office hallway and partly on the footpath alongside Greenhill Road, Wayville where traffic was busy!! I was young and naive and Wayne Jaye took advantage thus took my money without hesitation. He had a receptionist called "Melissa" whom would call me up at my workplace and pressure me to do the comp card at a cost of $900. I was reluctant at first because I didn't think the first lot of photos were that good, but Melissa assured me that the comp card was a big session where photos were done to perfection, so I agreed and paid them the money in advance. The moment I realised I had been conned, I was physically sick because I had paid so much money to Wayne Jaye. I even went as far to almost organise a friend to go and pay Wayne a visit in Brisbane and beat him up or at least get my money back. I regularly check back at this site to see if anyone else has written about any experiences they've had with him and I'm appalled that Wayne Jaye (Kerslake) has treated other girls the same way he treated me. It's been almost 7 years since I had my bad experience with Wayne Jaye and Melissa and I've accepted the fact I won't get my money back, but I'm still so very bitter towards the duo who scammed me out of so much money. If anyone else reads these comments please believe every word and stay away from Wayne Jaye for he will tell you anything to get his grubby little hands on your money.

OMG I can't believe this is still going! Surely there is something the police or the courts could do about him?!?!?! The system is truly screwed :-(

nice post nicola, considering your photography skills were poor to say the least in the beginning and know you call yourself a professional!!!! Maybe you have also forgotten that you were offered further training at no cost in the end!!!!

Yeah far be it for someone to tell their story about mental illness and have it called one sided. Always great to see the ignorant people out their and the stigma they attach to mental disorders!!!!

Is it just me, or the fact that someone mentioned mental illness strikes more of a chord with you than more than a handful of girls/women acknowledging that they were scammed and lied to? I think that's a worse tagline to hang over your head than bipolar.

Lots of people suffer from mental illness; lots of people aren't lying, inconsiderate, fraudulent, ignorant twits.

Wayne Kerslake has made a living (barely) in an industry he knows nothing about. He is a sad weak short effeminate skinny tosser

God he's still at it! I've heard from a reliable source that he is playing on his illness, getting people to support him (which in and of itself isn't a bad thing for people with mental illness of course, but when it's Wayne, there's always an ulterior motive), guilting people into working with him, and scamming money/grants for his "art". It's just sick when he owes thousands and thousands of dollars, that he can get tax-payer money to continue his disgraceful fraud, when the people he's ripped off get nothing. Shameful.

Ugh. I can't believe I didn't find this sooner. This jerk still owes me thousands of dollars and now he's masquerading as a "mental health advocate". It just gives people with real mental health conditions more of a stigma when people like him claim that. Will never see my money, I bet.
