- Becky| 4 repliesMy dad received a call in 2012 by Tradesman Tracker offering him advertising through a mobile phone app. They said they were doing a special reduced rate from £174 yo £87 for the year. My dad has his own double glazing company and at the time thought this would be a great way to increase business. He was asked to go to there website to read the terms and conditions while on the phone and to verbally agree. He was told he would receive an email within 7 days. He never received an email and didn't have anything confirmed in writing. The app never worked and he didn't get any work out of it.
After a year and two months someone allegedly from Tradesman Tracker called my dad and said he owed them for the first 2 months for the commencing year. My dad was surprised at this as he thought he had only bought a year. At this time my dad said he would like to cancel any contact with them and he stated that the app never worked in the first place. He said was not willing to pay the two months as has never had any service from them.
Two year later (today) someone called "Ray Cranston" from "Pro-Debt"called my dad's business number on a Saturday to speak with him. They had previously left a few urgent messages for him to call back. He was rather confused as to what it was all about.
"Ray" was informing my dad that he needed to pay £398 plus VAT today or it would go to court. "Ray" said my dad needed to cancel in writing but he was never told this by the company when he canceled over the phone. My dad looked at the terms and conditions while on the phone to "Ray" and this did state he needed to cancel in writing. Ray said that my dad had been sent 19 emails but my dad has never received any correspondence from them. They were pressuring my dad on the phone and said that it would be more than double if it went to court at an increased rate of £827.60. My dad was on the phone for over an hour on a Saturday and felt pressured. They told him, he has till the end of the working day on Tuesday to contact them, otherwise they will register a claim against him.
After seeking advice from friend and looking online we have found out that this company are actually a scam and this has happened to a lot of people. After reading these reviews I can see that Nathan Fearton and Anthony Simister are scam artists working together. "They are both disqualified directors and familiar with the press courts, police and insolvency service and the proceeds of scamming".
"Ray" gave my dad 2 numbers to contact him on. One premium rate: 08432896461and another number: 02078732103. My dad asked "Ray" for it in writing and he said it would be better to contact the company direct to give him all the details. This is how it's been left.
Luckily my dad never handed any money over, he does admit he felt pressured and it would have been easy to settle there and then.
Everyone's stories are rather similar. They need to be reported ASAP and the ignored.
Don't pay!!!!!- Caller: Tradesman Tracker

- Roy replies to Becky| 1 replyYou are in the exact position as me, every now and then I receive calls from Ray, pro debt is a scam and is owned by Anthony simister who owns tradesman tracker also he is a banned director, if you search the ico register he is the named data controller, but was told by Ray that he doesn't work for them.
Under no circumstances give them any money he is just a bully and would never win in court, search on Facebook for Anthony simister and you will see he is a complete knob. - Becky replies to RoyThere disgusting human beings. Ignore all correspondence form them! Its funny how they never sent any before you 'owed' them money. I had a look on his Facebook which is also the same picture as his Google plus account, so is definitely him. There's even a conversation on one of his photos insinuating he is a bit dodgy: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=65623 ... &type=1&theater
Can everyone contact Android and Apple to get this app taken off. I have done this and they are beginning to investigate. Also I would advise leaving bad reviews and negative feedback on social media about this company. We need to stop this happening to other people!
DO NOT GIVE ANY MONEY OVER! Have you seen his house and all the cars he owns?? Do not add to his richness please. Good luck everyone and don't feel intimidated. - mrsssmith| 1 replyHi
My husband signed up with tradesman tracker in 2012 and paid for a whole year upfront. We didn't renew and have not received any correspondence since 2012 but we received a letter yesterday from Debt Guard stating we owe over £600 in late fees. I drafted a letter to send back but then someone called, apparently from the solicitors office, asking if we had received the letter and then proceeded to tell us we have 7 days to pay or it will go to court which will run into the thousands. I'm now very worried as the guy said my house was at risk so have made an appointment with my solicitor for advice. I know you have all said its all a con, but this letter is from Irwin Mitchell Solicitors who only take on cases if they think they will win so now I don't know what to think or do. My husband wants to pay but I've convinced him to hold off for now.- Caller: Tradesman Tracker

- Gobble gobble replies to mrsssmithIf I were you I would call the company directly to see if it is a genuine letter. This company are fraudsters and try to impersonate lots of different companies to try to get there own gain and your loss. Do not pay them anything. Also they cannot take you to court unless they have provided you with evidence of what you owe in the form of invoices etc. All they do is try and intimidate you with threating abuse to get you to pay.

thanks - Bdg33Hello,I've had very similar to what a lot of others on here have, with not knowing tradesman tracker was a rolling contract and them claiming they never relieved my cancellation after a year, then claiming they emailed me 30 times , which I never received, and called 5 times and never left a message . Then I start getting messages from Pro debt, a partner of AMS industries , which is obviously Anthony Micheal Simister. Who also is director of tradesman tracker. Starting to look dodgy now. Could everyone update as to what has happened with them .Also if you want email me personally then as a group we can take to trading standards and also see if we can get his group on rogue traders . Email me at bengrant25@hotmail.co.uk.

- Anon replies to johnHi all
The same thing has just happened to my Husband. He received a call from Ray @ Prodebt saying I need to pay by tomorrow or Tradesman Tracker will take me to court.
What was the outcome for you all? Did you ever receive a letter from the court?
Thank you! - Arthur smith replies to BeckyThank you for posting this we have had exactly the same thing happen to us yesterday I was worried sick as we are a small business luckily my wife thought was a scam and started searching on the Internet and found your email which confirms this I have also emailed citizen advice hopefully we will be able to stop this happening to other small company's thank you for posting this Arthur
- KatieHi - just to confirm to anyone worried about this, we checked with our solicitor who laughed down the phone and told us to just block their calls. They confirmed there is NO WAY they can take you to court and it is a complete scam. We haven't had any letters from them, it was about 2 weeks ago when we had the first call.
It's sickening to think of how many people have fallen for this and paid through fear of having a black mark against their name/business.
I've reported to watchdog and suggest everyone does the same. - anonTo All, had the same thing, everyone needs to report this to action fraud 0300 123 2040

- PMJ| 5 repliesOMG! Am I relieved to have found this site before parting with any money! We have had a call today from Anthony at Pro-Debt saying we owe money, and if we settle out of court they will reduce the payment otherwise it will go to court and it will increase to approx. £1000. They say we have been sent 33 emails! We have received 3, none of which were reminders for renewal of the contract. I did contact them in 2014 (we did take a contract out in 2012) with regards to an email requesting a payment. I was basically accused of being a liar. He was very rude! We are presently waiting for their call back. Watch this space......................

- MrandMrsJ replies to Jeff| 3 repliesThis has happened to us too . . . husband signed up to Tradesman Tracker in 2012 for a year, heard nothing, no emails, no letters. Gets a phone call last week from ProDebt saying that we owe 600 pounds. Haven't done anything (after reading all your helpful comments). He's just received a call from someone claiming to be from Experian saying that a credit check was run on him . . . I presume this is linked to the scam. I rang Experian and they said that they would never phone an individual with this information; the only way a credit check can be done on somebody who is not the person requesting it, is with the permission of the person being checked, and Experian would not ring in either scenario . . Not entirely sure what to do now.... Any suggestions?
- Alex replies to MrandMrsJ| 2 repliesI wish I'd read this sooner, we took out the £87 paid upfront for one year in 2012 and sure enough in july 2015 received the usual threatening call. I told him to [***] off and I wasn't paying.
Last week Pro-debt called me saying it was going to court and I'd likely end up with a CCJ in the name of my Ltd. company which could affect my future credit rating.
Out of fear for my company's good rating being destroyed and loss of earning due to court etc I stupidly paid them an early settlement fee of nearly £600
I feel scammed as I never received any calls or emails or anything to even indicate we were still listed. We got no work from it and had no idea until last year that we even owed anything.
This is a total scam and someone needs to stop the [***] who owns it all, I've a mind to report him to trading standards now as its obviously a massive scam.
Why did none of us receive any calls before now? how does it take 3 years to pick up the phone?
Alex - Jeff replies to AlexI had a message from Pro Debt almost two weeks ago on my phone. I thought they'e dropped me ages ago. They must just keep going down the list of everyone that signed up initially and when they're at the bottom, start from the top again. Absolutely, you must report it to trading standards and Action Fraud. Unfortunately, everytime someone pays up it bolsters their illegal activity which is fraud. This should really be reported to the police too, there are enough of us now I would think to make a case for them to pursue. Last time I looked, fraud was still a crime!
Jeff - mickey replies to AlexAlex phone your credit card company and report it as fraud they should help to refund you. We did this a couple of years ago much to their annoyance. The bloke is a criminal and also known to trading standards. He was at one staged banded from trading.
- Solar CompanyI have exactly the same story to recount except 37 emails instead. Am early settlement fee of £398.00 or it would be escalated to the courts and I would end up paying nearly £1000.
