Its a legit call and number folks, guy called gave me his badge no employee id and address where he works, and skys main number 08442414141 confirmed that 08000232588 is a sky number it is the correct offer at 14.50 pm free sky 12 months free broadband 12 months and 14.50 for the line rental pm and there salesman was legit, they actually just done the deal from the 08442 number and im happy as larry!

Just had a voicemail from this number, had someone singing with a noisy background! Had a few missed calles in the proceeding months but never answered as googled number and seen this site! Bit odd :/

Sky customer appear to be getting outbound calls from this number however this is nothing to do with Sky . Do not give any personal details including bank details to these callers .

they rang me up saying ur being transfered from o2 broadband to sky then goes u will recieve sme welcome gift saying thank u from us then asked me for my card detail i go i dnt have them then he goes i will call u bk tomz no call since i rang up sky and they go we didnt call u

Got a call from this number, rang up sky customer services from a different landline and was told that it was from an outsourced call centre authorised by sky. My account had been accessed by an authorised outsourced company working on behalf of sky to give existing customers offers. Panic over!

Just called me, I have asked to call me later after 6pm, and there was not a problem ( after 6 ?? ). I  contacted Sky, only numbers coming from 0844... belongs to them. Now I can see all this comments and I am glad that I did not give them any details. Please do not do that too.

really annoyed got a call I drive  got all sorts of sh8t going on with ex and children and this number you cant call it back apparently it is sky and it has totally pi88ed me off I will never have sky now b*stards

Just had a call to my mobile phone claiming that it was sky and they were going to tell me all about the packages that they could offer, he asked my name and wanted my address, also my mothers maiden name to confirm who I was, in the background it sounded busy just like Sky, when I asked him where he was calling from he said Sky in Cardiff, he told me to phone the 0800 023 2588 number and I would here a message from Sky which I did, googled the number and here I am another Scam by the looks of things.

I was with BE broadband and was advise that following the new ownership by sky they would be offering special deal to customer who has been with them.

Now my current experience with Sky has been very poor as the central switchboard agent had really bad manners and I had to explained 3 time that I was cancelling my be service before he could transferred me to be.

So if it is watch it SKY or agency working on behalf of SKY... still hard sale involved.

Just call the number it is a telesales/telemarketing agency calling on behalf of Sky.

You can opt out by calling the number and select option 1 it should prevent receiving further calls.

Found this number had called me today on my smartphone (I am with O2) and fortunately I missed it. Now, having read other helpful comments, I won't be returning the call. Thanks, everyone.

Have had calls from this number supposed to be from sky offering me a reward first off could youconfirm you name and address so i can do a line check to see what rewards i can give you.Answer "i don't give personal details over the phone". How did you register for o2 broadband then? Answer By email How do i Know you are from sky.
I would not be able to contact you on this number to offer you sky products. Therfore Sky already know my email address they can contct me by email thank you and goodbye.

You people are not too bright. O2 has sold off it's home and broadband service to SKY,  the change will happen automatically and I would wager most of you have recieved letters from your provider letting you know the change is happening, call your provider and this will be confirmed. The people calling from this number are an outsourced call centre who are getting moolah for getting people to swap earlier.

I got call today from 08000 232588 I rang it back it was answering machine saying hi its Peter Corbin leave your name number and I will get back to you.  I think not

It is Sky. I was with o2 broadband and they said if I move early they will give me Sky TV on the £32 package free for 12 months, 12 month contract. Also free ADSL internet. I ended up going for Fibre from them.

As part of signing up I actually had to call o2 to disconnect my broadband, which even more confusingly went through to Sky as part of the switchover. The guy was surprised as he wasn't aware they were dialling out but confirmed the other guy had started setting up my account and he finished it off for me, and even got me a slightly better deal as he was retentions not sales.

Anyway, both Sky and BT engineers have turned up and installed Sky and Fibre and everything is as they said it would be.

Got called from this number claiming to be from Sky.  When I asked them to prove it, they told me my sky package and roughly how long I'd been with sky.  Seemed ok so I confirmed my name and address, then he asked for my sky password, which I thought was odd.  I said I didn't know it off the top off my head, at which point he said that was ok I could just give my mothers maiden name!  I hung up.  If it is Sky they seriously need to work on a better way to confirm themselves and you.

Didn't answer but can't think why Sky (if it is them) would be phoning, telly contract less than a year old and we don't have O2 phones or broadband!!  I never ever give personal details over the phone to strangers who call me, and I refuse to answer when it is an unknown number.

Sky dont have a call centre in wales. I had a call off this number today and he said he could offer me a deal. When I said I already had a cracking offer he said 'well you dont know what Im going to offer you'  in a rude voice.

Just received a call from this number asking to switch from O2 Broadband to Sky and seemed legitimate till I saw the postings on line. Called Sky later and they confirmed that all O2 broadband related queries are dealt with by the outbound team and begins with 0800 023 (their equivalent of the O2 queries number). Phew!

These `people` are still active. Just recieved my second silent TAM recieved call in two days. Don`t they know by now that we all know it is not SKY. So why don`t they just `naff off`!
