this numbers been calling me for days,i dont answer numbers i dont recognise,good this directory is here!!!

I received a call from this number on my mobile on Sunday at 19.40. I do not answer any unknown caller so don't know who it was as they didn't leave a message

Had 08000232588 call me every day, each time I saw number I hung up. However I eventually got fed up and rang the number. Automated reply, saying is is SKY "If you wish to take your number off our list, press 1" - I did so - then - "please enter the number and press the hash key" - - I did so. Should have done that 6 months ago!"

Said they were sky attractions. I said to check with Sky & if not genuine ID call police.

We have just received a call from this number, but when my wife answered the phone the caller immediately cut the call off.

I received a call from this number can as soon as I answered all I could hear was a busy call centre type noise in the back ground but then the caller immediately cut the call off.

This is a genuine Sky number. I was called on it today, and thought it was a scam, but then looked into the Sky forum, and they confirm that it is a genuine Sky number. See here for more info:

Never answered call since I don't know number. I have been called four times over the last two weeks. I won't be answering in the future....

Answered a call from this number. A lady was singing very loudly down the phone, then asked if she could speak to Miss (my surname), then hung up. I blocked their number immediately.

FAKE 'Sky' tying to get you to take out a contract with them pretending to be the genuine Sky company.  Do not talk or contact them you will be tied into a binding contract! !

That's funny, Sky do occasionally cold call me with offers and in the Sky Community Forum they seem to think that the number IS one of theirs:

Having just had a delightful phone call from this number that started with 'she hates me she f**king hates me' and when questioned shouting stuff like CHEESE down the phone, I decided I would in fact google where the hell this number had come from, upon coming across this forum and other such articles I have phoned sky. They are trying to assure me that no-one has had access to my account. The ONLY company that has my mobile number is SKY and all posters online are saying it's SKY. The woman is currently phoning the number herself to try and verify what may be going on and why. It's tedious and ridiculous  she has however confirmed that they ARE CLAIMING to be sky but have no LEGAL access to customer details etc. Just shows how much sky value their customers!

2 calls in rapid succession today, instigated by the pests MARLIN FINANCIA SERVICES - the numbers  08000 469147  AND  08000 232588 called with 10 mins in between each.  MARLIN's CEO no can be found under MARLIN FINANCIAL SERVICES listed here:  http://www.ceoemail.com/index3.php

Got a call from this number, yesterday. Luckily, I was in the dentist's waiting room, so I rejected it. there were no further calls, but I decided to Google it and found this thread on the first entry. I wonder if there's a data leak at Sky?

I really do think it is Sky.

I have just requested a MAC to depart from Sky (was actually with Be, service now taken over by Sky), young lady caller knew all about it.

Requested feedback as to why I was leaving.  No attempt to sell me anything.

When I wouldn't confirm my name or address he siad it was sky? Funny that I replied this is a new o2 mobile number where did you get this number from? Looks like o2 selling numbers for cash.
He knew my name.

Just received a call from this number with special offers from 'Sky'. Started requesting personal details for security reasons then asked for my account password, when I said you must be joking if you think I am giving password details over the phone he started going on about how many days I had the account and what packages I had.
When I said I was happy with what I had and wouldn't be giving out any more details he turned surly and said I would miss out on any offers then, I put the phone down.
Beware he is convincing.

Getting the usual one phone call a day from these now... it'll last a couple of weeks and then nothing and they will start up again. Don't answer

Its quite easy to deal with these w**nkers  ---  when I realise its the same " call centre" noise --- and usually the same voice -- I simply use two words and the first word begins with the letter F.    Simples !!

Just got a call from this number - I guess they new I was on a sky package (many people are)  - but really don't think this was sky.  They said they were going to send me out a new router (bit of a carrot).  Then they wanted 'set up personal details' for security they say.  Even mentioned they wanted the last 3 chars of my bank account number.  I think this was NOT sky when I said no I would do this online and to what benefit to me would be gained, the guy just said that if I lost my phone (doh don't have phone with sky) and someone could phone up pretending to be me!  RUBBISH this is a scam.
