Report a phone call from 08000232588 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- MathewI didn't answer the call. My broadband is with Plusnet and my mobile is with Tesco, why do these people have my mobile number? The number was with T-Mobile prior to Tesco.
I do have Sky but wouldn't they phone me on my home line? - paperbirdReceived a call today on my mobile. They hung up after 3 rings. Sky only have my land line number, so pretty sure this is a scam.
- luca2007Keep getting calls from this number on my mobile but I have a call blocker so it just hangs up any call that isn't on my white list or in my contacts.
- Natalie BeerJust received a call from this no saying it was sky. Wanted my password ... I said I had forgotten it! Then asked for my mothers maiden name I hung up
- Caller: Sky
- Rocky| 1 replyThis damn number just keeps on calling me, I've told them that I don't want the calls, and I also am aware that they are scammers but how the hell do they manage to get the full confidential details.
- Caller: Apparently sky
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Jon replies to deleted postJust had a call from these idiots and they were abusive and rude because I wouldn't hand over any security information. Must admit they already had alot of my information, but anyone can get access to that. I'm not even going to log it with Sky as I know they wouldn't treat any of their good customers like that. They are one of the best customers service companies I have dealt with. I knew it wasn't them from the start and apparently I have now been struck off the offers list, so I thanked him for his offer and hung up.
- Dave replies to RockyIts shocking to hear but everyones details are all over the web.
- ColinThis is genuine folks, it's a call centre set up by Sky to entice people whose broadband services are transferring over from O2 (Sky have bought out O2's broadband service) by offering a deal to 'get their hooks in' as it were. I just signed up to free Sky+ HD TV with everything included for 12 months, fibre broadband at £10/month for 6 months then £20 month thereafter (standard broadband was offered free for 12 months) plus line rental upfront at £140 for the year, no set up fees or installation fees. Can't argue with that!
- Caller: Sky
- Call type: Telemarketer
- sbReceived call yesterday He said he's from sky. Told me that my o2 broadband is moved to sky. Offered me full sky package for free for a year. I accepted it. Asked me my bank details to set up a direct debit with sky so they can get the money straight to sky instead of them taking money indirectly from o2. Gave him my a/c number and sort code and address. He said I'll get an email confirmation. I didn't get anything. Please dont be fooled like me. I feel so frightened about my bank account.
- Caller: claimed to be sky
- MeI have been getting these unsolicited calls for weeks now. They are from SKY trying to get ex 02 broadband customers to sign up to Sky contracts. Ex 02 broadband customers get the same deal with sky as they did with 02, the only difference being they are not under contract so therefor can terminated with the minimum of notice at any time.
Sky are just trying to get ex 02 into 12/18 month contracts is all. Ignore the call or just answer and play them along, wait for them to get fed up. They are after all paying for the call.- Caller: Sky
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Chris *******Just had a phone call from this number very rude. Claiming to be SKY, said that hes got some good offers I said no and he said how do you know what offer I got and I said I dont want any, he put the phone down haha.
Sounded very welsh to me maybe local either Swansea or Cardiff, Newport area....
Proper companies like sky do not act in a rude manner.
If you read this you toe rag go get a proper job and learn some manners, or next time you want to "sell" me a offer come and knock on my door like other dim wits and ill give you a offer on your jaw you scruffy F**K!!! why do people get low life jobs like this I do not know. fair enough legit companies but not scammers.- Caller: Dunno maybe SKY
- Jan83This is definitely sky I got the phone call gave my details then had my daughter phone the direct sky number from her account everything has been confirmed as the order having been placed !
- Caller: sky
- Call type: Telemarketer
- annieJust answered a call from this number and they hung up without me saying a word or them speaking to me,
- JoeI just answered a call from this number, saying they were from sky asking to verify some security details, i gave them my address but when he asked for the last 2 digits of my account i said i have no idea and he hung up. Scam. If it was sky they would know the details.

- Caller: stealing fekers
- Dave| 1 replyBe very wary people, just contacted Sky and they state that this number has nothing do with them.
I received a call from just over 30 mins ago offering free tv for a year as a christmas gift as part of a campaign to get old customers back on board.
The representative seemed very on edge and would only answer my questions vaguely,
Sky have reassured me there is no campaign in place, and the last time there was it was over a year ago and they usually only welcome back customers with a half price offer.
I can only assume that all the comments on this thread claiming it to be genuine have been set up by the company themselves.
Don't ever hand out such information over the phone, Sky are a repatable company and would likely write to you or contact you in a professional manner for such an offer as opposed to a unsolicited cold call...- Caller: Unkown
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Nan replies to DaveI agree about the "positive" posts on here. I have been with Sky for more years than I care to remember and in that time have only had one 'phone call. The caller claimed to be from Sky and said they were sending out new Sky cards but wanted to know how I paid my bill. I informed him that if he was from Sky he would know. I then 'phoned Sky and the answer I got was very illuminating. The lady said that Sky did not 'phone their customers, simply because they had too many of them!. Worth remembering if you get such a call.
- CupcakeI've been receiving calls from this number, all of this week. Luckily I missed all their calls and did not bother to call back. I just googled the number and found this forum, after which I promptly blocked it. Thanks for the info.
- Caller: "Sky"
- Call type: Prank
- AndyJust ignored a call from this number so I can't confirm who it was as I assumed it was either PPI or mobile phone company
- Another legit sky customerClearly a potential scam call... I tend to leave all unknown and freephone numbers unanswered and just let them ring thorough.
If they are a completely genuine caller they will leave a message for you to call them back and honestly declare themselves in what business they have with you.
This is the first time I have double checked the number through the internet and would highly recommend this avenue prior to you even remotely considering calling any number back. This is a rogue caller of some description, do not risk your details being exploited......
