Just got a call from Eurochance100 stating that I had been shortlisted for the chance to win an Audi A3 bit basically I would have to sign up for £9 a WEEK to play in some lottery syndicate!  When I told her I wouldn't give her my bank details she asked why not?!  Cheek!  She promptly said goodbye when I told her again I would not give her any bank details and when I asked if I now didn't have a chance to win the car she said well no you have to sign up for the payment and give my non-secure bank details which would be my sort code and account number - I don't Feckin think so!! I got this phone call after filling out a competition to win an Audi A3 in Glasgow Central Station last week - others beware!!

The calls are from Telegen yet again.  Telegen is a nuisance caller, based down on the South coast, whose activities have been reported many times in these pages.  All of these numbers belong to Telegen and have appeared here, some of them many times.

OFCOM will do something about it, but only if it is drawn to their attention repeatedly, so it is up to all of us to do that.  It is easy to do.  Just make a note of some dates and times you received nuisance calls, then go to

I have done a rough count and it amounts to over 200 reports on this website alone. I am about to fill in OFCOM’s online complaint so, if you have been called by them, please join me. If nothing happens, I may write to the BBC’s “Watchdog”. If we join forces, the anti-social behaviour CAN be stopped.

i work for them dont think its too bad me self. been with the company for 4months now. we sell lotto tickets on the euro. 208 for £9 weekly. guarentee to match all 7 numbers every week on your behalf. i have read some posts and am appalled that u are being treated like this, will speak to my manager in work 2mz as it is unfair. i, myself remove anyone of thedata base if there is no answer after 4 calls as its then classed as harassment, dont want to loose my job.

i've just been stupid and joined the eurochance 100. thought it sounded good until i thought about it then looked it up on here :S theyve got my bank details and that now. can i go to my bank and tell them not to even set it up?

Is there any government agency that can help verify/bust their plan??? Betting and winning/loosing is ok but is there really anyone who has won something like £10,000 or more. What i understand is that they are making a lot of legitimate money with this. but any idea what their 'guarantees' are all about.

Meme : I don't think your manager can do enough he is also just an employee...rght?..Would you be able to get any detail on the highest amount won thru this syndicate.

Used to get lots of calls from this Telegen company.  Then it stopped for a while.  Now it's started again yesterday, this time claiming to be "Eurochance 100". I'm going to report this to Ofcom. If enough people nag Ofcom, perhaps they will do something.

ALSO as we run www.planet49.com which you become registered to (a free online game site for just fun). If you visit it, and play, we then know you have an interest in the lottery as we let you play a free trial type thing on our site.

We then tell you, you are welcome to join our lottery syndicate which makes your chances of winning MUCH higher because we give you 208 tickets a week (we get every member to pay 4.3p a ticket per 208 tickets) and most members actually win at least £10.00 a week because you get so many tickets...

This is no scam, just a syndicate in the lottery just like you may have at work! (As your manager). If this were a scam, we could NOT set up direct debits for memberships (the banks check we are real and a business and not scammers) PLUS we work WITH the lottery to stay within rules.

I work for Telegen UK. We are a customer contact solutions company. SO a client comes to us, asks to to make/take calls for them and we take that job. We even deal with calls for Virgin!

To the last person who posted.  There must be about 200 complaints on this website about Telegen UK and their activities, calling on behalf of AXA, PPP, RAC, Virgin and all the rest. I wonder if those companies realise how much bad publicity you are giving them. When you call people you seem reluctant to admit who you really are. It's all very well to give us your telephone number, but if you really did have any conscience about what you are doing, you would stop the cold calling. If you think that people want this kind of pestering you must be in a minority of one. This website is full of complaints about anti-social silent calls and quite a good proportion of them concern Telegen.

This is NOT cold calling.

It CLEARLY STATES when you sign up: "Do you want to receieve calls that maybe of interest.

Virgin: We call peoples who used to be with us. (NOT cold calling)
RAC: Once again, calling people who used to be with us. (Not cold)
AXA: Would you believe it... calling people who were customers. (Not cold)

All the rest: CALLING PEOPLE WHO ARE INTERESTED IN THE PRODUCT AND HAVE ACTUALLY GAVE US PERMISSION TO CALL!!!

We start with our names and the company we are calling from. Virgin and EuroChance100 actually employe us so we are actually working for them, in a section with thier computers etc so we NEVER lie who we are and who we call from.

We offer genuine products though that company. Don't shoot us, we are the messengers. We do what the company tells us. All we do is turn on the computer, it connects us to you, and then when we hear the beep: "Hello this is Joseph from EuroChance100, can I speak with Pat please".

If you do not want to receive the call. Just do one little thing, hang up. Simple. Or just be polite and say "no thanks". We would never call you back, we call thoough the computer it is IMPOSSIBLE to call you back.

Any more arguments. Oh and just so you know, I have been sack this morning because I asked them if it was a con.

There are hundreds of reports on this site compaining about Telegen, and quite a few on other internet discussion boards. Is the previous contributor ("Joseph Leslie") saying that every one of them is a liar, and that they all asked to be pestered?  Come off it. You know that what you are doing is just antisocial bnehaviour.

After I filled in an online form to Win an Audi A3 and got bored with how lont the process was taking after getting flipped from page to page the the calls started from eurochance100. I was polite and listened and asked them to call back in 24 hours. That was at 17:00 03 March. It is now 12:15 04 March and have already received 4 calls from different people from the same number -I told each one the same thing to call back at 17:00 apart from the last person who I asked not to call again along with anyone else from the company. It has been 25 minutes since that call so await another call shortly  - i'm sure

just had the guy on the line and he told me that 99 other ppl plus myself r still in the running 4 the Audi,he was a bit miffed when we told him that we would check the site out b4 going any further and dishing out our bank details.i think we have blown our chances of the A3 BUT [***] IT.lol.

a young gentleman by the name of josh rang me today.. sounded like a nice lad but kept refering to me as "mate" or "geez" which i thought extremely odd..seeing as im a lady.. any way told me something about winnig an audi and he needed my bank details i was all very willing to give these untill he belched extremely loudly down the phone!! i hung up at once and searched the number on google. thank heavens for this site!! i now know the truth

i too have had a phone call from this company and thankfully ditched the call before falling victim of passing my details over the phone

i keep getting these calls day time only asking for my son,when i asked for thier information for him to contact them they hang up

Hmmmm I think "Joseph" is right, we did submitt our details for this... and it is not too much bother to politly say "no thanks please do not call again".

Judging by the call when i actually asked questions bluntly they knew what they were talking about ( I also viewed the web site: http://www.eurochance100.co.uk ) They seem to be offering a good product if you do, do the euro millions.

My advice: Listen to what they have to say, take it or leave it as you want. And they don't ask for payment straight away so it is not like you get pressurised into it (I think)

Personally I did not take it because I don't play the lottery but after checking the business number etc they are "la-git"

i work for telegen, i find the people here whining complete fools, at the end of the day if u dont want to be called about some offers, then dont tick the damn boxes when u do the competitons, get a life people, if u cant even say "please dont call me again" or "im not interested" to some1 on the fone then ur not gunna get very far in the real world r u?! we always put the call outcome accoring to what the customer tells us, if u say "ill think about it" we arrange a call back for when it suits YOU. if u dont wanna be called nemore please just tell us and we will happily take u off the list so u dont get nemore calls! it wastes ours and ur time if u keep [***] footing about when saying to us u wanna think about it or ur not sure, please get a backbone!!! and LOL at the silly woman who was like "ooh please help me! i dont know what 2 do!" in an earlier post, ur pathetic love. and to joseph, u got sacked got u used 2 stick bits of toilet paper down ur trousers and drink alcohol in the premises, u r trouble lad, thats y u were sacked. at the end of the day eurochance 100 is NO SCAM, if u read the small print it tells u all u want 2 know.

Erm I tell you what I actually agree. How about this people: DON'T ENTER ANY COMPETETIONS!!!

It is really simply, the only reason people or companies want you in the competetion is so they can have your details to add to an emailing list and then get money out of you.

Stay away from anything relating to winning something for nothing. There is no such thing as getting something for nothing, well not a [***] audi TT anyway!!!

Eurochance 100 contacted me in January of this year 2008.I Joined as the sales person made it sound so good. i have paid £144 in total as theytake out £36 every month.I have won about £5.oo. phoned yp to cancell today and they have told me that i have topay them another £36 in May as i have to give them one months notice.
The sales person told me i would only have to stay with them for 3 months.Its A BIG CON.
