When I tried to return the call it says the number is unrecognised??


Who is it??

0800 285085 kept calling my house phone, I eventually relented an answered it.  A foreign voice said that he was from BT and my order for the new telephone line had failed.  When I told him I hadn't placed an order he became quite aggressive saying "How can you tell me you haven't placed an order when I have the order number here!!!!"  I put the phone down and turned the phone off.

just received a call from this number - was legitimate customer service call from bt following my call to them yesterday

This number kept ringing every 10 minutes but nobody there when you pick up, and if you ring it back the number's not recognised.   Eventually I picked it up immediately it rang - it's an automated BT Customer Satisfaction survey.  So I did that just long enough to score them zero on almost everything then hung up.

Called me on my Vodafone Mobile number, I have no BT services so it is highly unlikely to be BT customer services trying to contact me - would not accept my return call

This is the BT customer services number. You may have comments about the sort of service you get from them, but this is definitely their number.

u nsure which group I come in but had all the variations of this one . it rings 4 times then goes dead not any answer if you pick up . today had it conitually 4 times in row not giving any one time to answer. as I am diabled I can not get to the phone before it goes of . as have not given out the landline number as I can not get there before clears of . they are scam calls . I can understand now why people complain I did keep a list but after a few days it was pages long if I got to any they asked for the same name so looked up old phone to find it was same name for number . so I take it for clearing number properly bt need to keep the number for longer. as it seams that at the moment they change number for one person due to nusince calls only to find that due to passing on to soon they only pass on the problem to some one else. there seams to be one like the bt numbers who seam responsibale a lot of the silent and nusince calls them .selves. that trys for getting bank details from you claiming to be bt . I have had both types .

Is BT complaints/customer services

Received call told them not interested.
Did 1471 ,called them back and recorded voice told number not recognised.?!

This is the official number used by BT by British Telcom's Customer service and or complaints department.
Usually used if you have initiated an enquiry/complaint/or change of details with BT.
Should be quite safe and is bona fide.

had a call to at 2.40 this caller said she was from BT complaints department

It's a scam and is NOT BT. I checked with BT today after I got a call from this number. They are just after your details, do not repeat DO NOT have anything to do with them.

Its not BT they keep ringing me to pay a bill ...Haven't been with BT for 8 years....Scammers

Total scammers claiming to be BT saying my bill was overdue ..Haven't been with BT for 8 years and have no outstanding bill

I'm not a BT customer and still get this scam call, so ask BT and they say it isn't them.

0800285085 is not BT. 08000285085 is BT. Check this out for yourself and beware of false posts on here.

Just had a call from this number.No msg left.I contacted bt today to see if I can have longer to pay my bill.They were great and really understanding..Strange to have phone call at 8.45 pm from them though...

I'm not with BT so I have no bill to pay thrm!
