- Johnsonhad 3 calls from this number. A computer system was at the other end. It asked for personal details and when I didn't respond , I was told by that system "do not put the phone down". Eventually I did but the phone was still engaged for 30 minutes afterwards and i was not able to call out from my own phone. 3 calls in 3 days all around lunch time.
- billGot a phone call from this number today saying they were the post office(automated message) asking for personal details eg date of birth and address. Gave them my date of birth then they wanted my post code which i thought was suspicious as there phoning my home phone number? then they said for me to call back tomorrow during the day......seems very suspicious!!!

- Jan ParrWe are getting daily plus call from this number ..yesterday had a call to say you have a message from the post office and to call that number to hear the message..
- Mr Handsome| 1 replyIt's the Post Office calling with regards to you overdue bill, as soon as you go overdue by two days they ring you to make a payment or find out when you will be making a payment. The postcode etc is just to confirm your identity.
- Caller: Post Office
- Call type: Debt collector
- Magpie| 1 replyIt's the post office chasing an overdue bill. Very unprofessional way of doing business in my opinion - as it's automated. Post Office - sort your act out and get a human being to do the job.
- Caller: Automated service from Post Office
- FedupUnsure but likely to be Post Office HomePhone. This company has once again messed up my house phone account without even asking. They have been told in no uncertain terms it's THEIR problem and my bill will be settled as and when.
We must not allow telecoms companies to mess us around. After all, we pay their salaries don't we!
The same company messed us around in 2014, only then I forced them into writing off an entire month of calls and services. It was their fault, and this household will not be messed about.
Have blocked the number, but I also take the view that if it's so important, they'll write.- Caller: Uncertain
- FedupYet another call from this number to housephone. It's already blocked so doesn't even ring my phone.
Only find out a non-contact has called when going to use the phone. Life is a dream in this household cos we've beaten the scam and other unknown callers.
Would recommend a call-blocking phone to everyone plauged by such unwelcome intrusions.- Caller: Uncertain
- dj_kronikYep its the PO chasing my unpaid bill. Its only been about a week so told them I'd be back from my expensive holiday soon..
- JamesHad call from 08008815191. This is the POST OFFICE BILL COLLECTIONS department, wanting you to pay your Bill...?
- Caller: Post Office
- Call type: Debt collector
- jon| 1 replyHad loads of calls form this number less than two weeks after receiving the bill, which was just before Christmas. Suspected it was the PO, so ignored them. Looking at the other reports, seems I was right.
If this company will send out there bills out right on top of Christmas, then, with holidays and bank holidays etc; they can't expect to be payed until well after the new year can they!!! As "fed up" said, "if it's so important, they'll write."
Also agree very much with "Magpie" "Very unprofessional way of doing business in my opinion - as it's automated. Post Office - sort your act out and get a human being to do the job."
And very suspicious as well!!- Caller: post office
- Call type: Debt collector
- max replies to mocorrect
- G BellThis isn't a scam, it's the post office collecting payment for your phone line a few days after it's overdue.
- Caller: Post office telecom
- CarolineIt's the Post Office calling with regards to you overdue bill, as soon as you go overdue by two days they ring you to make a payment or find out when you will be making a payment. The postcode etc is just to confirm your identity.
- Caller: Post office home phone
- Call type: Debt collector
- anonymousebeware, the post office have a contract with talktalk. this was discovered recently when a person wanted to upgrade to broadband. an on site engineer let slip that talktalk would be providing the connection. person promptly cancelled the contract on the grounds of failure to advise third party contracting service.(people will recall talktalk had a nasty data breach fairly recently). so this raises serious questions about the post office data protection practices.
- Caller: unidentified
- YantoYeh it's the P.O, well out of order them using a recorded message system. Get Ur act together and either write or get a person to make the call as this recorded bull [***] could easily be perceived as a scam.
- Caller: post office
