The telephone number 0800 8 815 191 is from Post Office Home Phone and Broadband.  It is from their Automated Payment Remider Service, where the customer has not paid their bill.  The number usually calls approx 7 days after the due date printed on the telephone /broadband bill. If you call the number back, you will be presented with an automated message saying ''thank you for calling the post office'', and may include you name such as ''this is a message for mr x smith'' - NOTE: Do NOT press 3 to return the call, as you will be charged.  Hang up and redial.

15th October 2016 - Called again today (Saturday) by this number, which is from 'Post Office Home Phone & Broadband' - They're on a chase fest! - The automated number left a message this time, saying: ''Hi, this is a call from Post Office, for (machine inserts my name)...to hear your message, please call 0800 881 5191, that's 0800 881 5191. Thanks, goodbye.''

I don't appreciate being called and chased, as they KNOW, on their system, that I am a registered disabled customer, have limited mobility, and have Type 1 diabetes and am also coeliac.  I rarely get out of the house nowadays, and it's not always possible to pay bills ontime.  But, they DO get paid.  I am only 6 days overdue to pay my bill....the money is here in the jar, and it'll get paid (the bill), on MOnday, if all is well with me.

Again, the Post Office do know my situation, and it angers me everytime they start the constant phone calls - which I rarely answer if I am in my bed.  If I am having a bad time health wise, I have to go downstairs to answer the phone, which the person has hung up by the time I get to the phone, and has maybe left a message.  Thinking it may be important (like a death or illnerss in the family, due to the constant ringing, I try and get to the phone each time - but at the moment, finding out it's the Post Office bombarding me with phone calls to chase a £110 bill.

The result of not paying a Post Office Broadband and homephone bill on time, is they foirst restrict your internet, then they threaten to cut you off from the phone - which they by law cannot do, as I am medically dependant on the phone.

You guys didn't want to read all that, but meh! - I had to write it, to let you know a) who the number is from, and b) how much hassle they are prepared to give you in order for you to pay the bill.

Maybe 1 or 2 phone calls in the space of a week would be acceptable.  But to get about 10 in the space of 4 days is bang out of order.

They keep calling, because they know you are at home, at that moment, and that you have received the message (as they can track you on your Post Office phone line), so there is no point in saying ''I didn't get any calls''.....or ''I was out at the time''.  This is all futile, as you are logged pressing 1471 to see who called, or 1571 to check the message.  And as it's a digital message, from them, they know you have received it.

All my bills get paid late.  But they do, eventually, get paid (unlike some people with shedloads of money, cars in the drive and nice houses, who are always the ones to stall and delay paying anything).

Post Office. Sent me a ridiculous bill. After 2 weeks of hassle they agreed that they had made a mistake and sent me a credit of £120. Payment date adjusted to 7th April. Now their automated system keeps chasing me for payment already credited by their customer service dept. !

If this is the Post Office, it may be tondo with them taking over Fuel Broadband, my current bb supplier. PO Telecoms are rubbish, i used to be with them but left after having 78 outages in 24 hours, needless to say I am changing suppliers again

It's post office reminding you about an unpaid bill usually about a week after it is due. Listen then press the correct numbers to "promise to pay within 5 days" simple as that. You can always pay online via your bank. That's what I do.

It’s the post office home phone debt collection hotline, there calling me regarding an unpaid bill but it’s not even my bill, I use to help out an old guy with household things and when I helped him set up the post office phone they asked for another contact number, I gave them mine because the old guy never had a mobile. Now he has gone into a home somewhere and I’m not sure where, but there calling me regarding the unpaid bill, I’ve explained to them the situation but they still keep calling me, this is the 5th time now...
