I called the number back and got an answer message saying if I didn't want to be called by them anymore call 0800 952 4874.  When I called that number I followed the voice prompts to enter my phone number and then got a recorded message saying I would be removed from their database within 3-5 days.  maybe this will happen or maybe they'll keep ringing.  I guess I have nothing to lose.

I've had them ringing me quite a lot this week and today I answered the phone. I was told they were calling from Orange and asked me what network I am currently on.

I said to the bloke that I didn't need to tell him which network I am on to have a conversation about Orange. And he hung up. Charming.

I suspect it won't be the last time that they call me either

To follow up my previous message, I wrote an email to Orange Customer Services, saying that I was pretty annoyed by the persistant phonecalls. This is the reply I received

At present Orange do occasionally send out marketing messages, although these are clearly identified as being from Orange.  Please note that we do not send promotional messages to those who have not given their consent, nor do we supply customers' details or phone numbers to outside agencies.  Unfortunately phone numbers are randomly generated or selected by the external parties concerned.
 
If you'd like to register a complaint, please call Telephone Preference Service (TPS) on 0845 070 0707 or visit www.tps-online.org.uk.  If you have been registered with this service for over 28 days at the time when a message is received, a complaint can be made to TPS who will investigate it and pass a report on to the Office of the Information Commissioner.

They ring me approx 4 times a day- I never answer. I just wish they would give up.

Called me today at 15:10, rang back and got a message saying that they called on behalf of Orange.  It also said if you didn't want them to ring again, ring the number 0800 952 4874

they keep phoning but I don't answer - never leave a message to say they've called

what the hell do these people want? they just called me but i missed it, from being at work, i rung it back and they told me if i ring a certain number they would take my number off there list, lets just hope they do, i don't want them ringing me everyday like they have other people

They called my work number and asked for me by name and now are calling my mobile... who are they??

called me repeatedly in the last few weeks.  said they were from my mobile provider but asked me who i was getting service from.  I asked what it was in relation to and they said my mobile.  I said anything in particular and they said my needs.  I said that unless they had any concrete questions then I didnt have any answers to give.  Was then told by the girl that she didnt have time for me and that she had a mountain of calls to get through.  Dicks.

are these people stupid or what? when they rung me yesterday i rung the number they said to ring so they will take my number off their systems and they still rung me again today, i missed it though so i didnt get the silent treatment or fake questions

[***]. i have put them on "silent" ringtone. sometimes if i see them calling i answer and give them loads of abuse, it helps me get rid of any stress.

jus had a call about 3ish. there was a bunch of girls jus giggling down the phone! idiots!!!!

3 - 4 in the afternoon.
Starting to get on my nerves now i wish they would stop calling me.
I never answer it, and now i find im obviously not the only person getting these calls.  Will they get the hint?? lol

This number phoned me at 8am, when i was trying to sleep as i wasn't very well. I didn't answer cause it was an 0800 number. I was so annoyed. Hope they don't call again.

Ive been ignoring this number as ive had a few other 0800 numbers bothering me. my sister answered it yesterday without relising. Apparantly it was someone from 'Orange'. They hung up when she told them i was unavailable.

Well I'm definitely not alone here. They call, I didn't answer. Now I know who they are, they will get a mouthful of strong words. I cannot believe they still ring people after they have been reported and fined in the past for this.

This number 0800 952 4854 called me today at 15.15. I didn't answer...

Have had a couple of calls from this number, but was working and didn't recognise the number, so I didn't answer. Am glad I googled their number.

Called me at 12:17 today and met with silence so hung up.
