Ever since I broke down and had to have a recovery, I have been getting calls from this number at least three times a day. They never leave a message and they don't ring for too long. It is getting quite irritating. Now I know it is the AA, I am quite P****ED OFF.

Called me 9 times in the last 2 days since I didn't renew my AA membership because they put my premium up to £214 as a customer since 2006. I could get exactly the same service for about £140 from their website as a new customer. Good to take advantage of your longstanding customers :)

Got the same thing from RAC for less so going to see if they're any good. I used to really rate the AA but seem to have gone ultra 'corporate' in the last few years.

I have had about 6 calls in the last 5 days after calling out the AA - I don't answer 0800 numbers but now it's them I feel a little better. Still, very annoying.

They did this with me last year and so I rang them and they gave me the online new customer deal without a fuss. Just have to ask! But yes, it should have just been cheaper to start with.

yes its the aa same here not renew my breakdown as its to dear, i did write to them so i bet they are ringing to try to get me to stay.if it goes to answerphone they dont leave a message

it is the aa, they are trying to flog that home responce thing, they cant seem to understand the words no and dont call again.

Broke down yesterday and called out the AA got first call within 29hrs of breakdown.  My renewal is not due till October so why call me now.  I cannot answer 0800 numbers from my mobile anyway so this is gonna drive me insane if they continue with the calls.  Will report it as nuisance calls if they make lots of calls to me.

I have also had one phone call per day from this number since about a month ago. i left the AA last year so why are they still ringing!

Omg its absurd they phone me 4 -6 days a week sometimes 3 times a day and have done for 3 months now I have had 3 different numbers now all from the AA.  They are blocked but I get a message to say the call was blocked.  Surly this kind of hassell is against ofcom/ trading standards rules? !!

The only way to prevent this from happening is, whenever you get a quote for car insurance, breakdown etc, do not use your real details. add fake name, address, email, phone etc.
Once you found the deal you wanted, get the qoute again using your real details.
Won't work 100% but can drastically reduce the number of calls you get.

I forgot to do it this year, getting average 3 calls a day from this number:(((  (it's my 2nd phone though so I simply ignore it, hope they will get bored after a while)

I got two calls from this number today. They left no message on my answer phone so obviously not a legitimate business.

Probably to check that you were happy with the service provided.    Seems reasonable enough.

Personally, I don't think it is reasonable behaviour.
I'm sick of companies I pay good money to do a service to phone up to try and sell more products to me or ask me to complete a customer satisfaction survrey.

Im 16 years old and have never had anything to do with th AA. It's getting annoying now.

I tried to call back via option 1 but was asked to leave a message as no one was available to take my call. Why can't this be an automated request?

I've just been called and that just kept saying "Hello, Hello". I am on TPS I thought they should not call me up in such cases. As for calling them back who in their right mind calls back any number. You are just asking to get charged a horrendous amount of money. I had AA breakdown cover years ago and strangely my current breakdown cover is ending but I can never go back to a company which such shameful practices. When will they learn this annoys customers? I presume there are enough idiots around who take up their cover following such calls to justify it, the same people who respond to emails from Nigerian businessmen.

Called AA out on Friday and started getting calls today, Monday, at work.  Very annoying. I hd to switch my phone off as I was in meetings.  Now I have blocked the number.  I had to sue the number during the breakdown.  Now I am looking at alternative options when my renewal comes through
