Tried calling a friend and each time it tells me to ring 08431163354

Got one number wrong in our attempt to call our oil supplier.  Got told to phone this number, and then (once phoned) got a repeat message telling me I was being transferred, and was then in a queue.  Looks like an automatic looping system to me, BUT why doesn't it just say the number is unavailable?  Can't be a scam if no-one picks up. .......

call on my landline (x-directory) from 01348 624033 (Fishguard number) and told to ring 08431163344. When rung from my mobile told in a queue but never connected. Gave up after 3 mins and blocked the number. Obviously a scam.

these 084 numbers are not always but often bogus, with high call connection and duration charges, especially from a mobile, eg 40p+ p/minute depending on your network .... the loop is intended to keep callers holding on for even longer, you have been ripped off sadly :(

Were originally phoned by 01163880942. When we dialed back, a male recorded voice said.' Please call 08431163344.' When we checked out the diverted number  on various web sites, many people left comments, saying it was a scam.

Charged £10.13 for this number. Just can't remember ever ringing an 0843 number nor would I.

I was phoning what I believed to be a legitimate number in relation to a mistake I had made redeeming a gift card from 'Gift choice' (I redeemed another identifical one no problem but in this instance I had incorrectly typed an email address and so I couldn't receive the activation code to use it.) I was sent on a phone trail - original number 08435 064 006 then automated voice telling me to ring 01709 242099 then 01371 3845931 then finally 0843 1163344 where I was kept on hold long enough to type the number into the internet where it looks like it could be a scam. How did this happen from a legitimate purchase? The other identical gift card was valid in the pub.

I had a missed call from 01631 611129,when I  called back the recorded message said to dial 08431163344.the ring tone was a rapid series of short "beeps" more like continental engaged number,I  hung up. The original call was from an Oban area code.

My mother was duped into calling this number april 2020 - she held the phone open for 2 hour in the middle of the night - whilst the message was saying  "Please hold while we connect your call."

I called my holiday insurance on 15th sept and was on hold for 51 mins, i ended the call, and went on to live chat instead, today I got my mobile bill and have been charged £33.17 for the call ! quite ironic when my refund from the holiday insurance was about the same ! My phone contract is only £9 a month and I never go over...Absolutely fuming!!
