Just had this number call - but I never pick up the phone.  Worst thing you can do, as it confirms to the other end yours is a proper phone number which will now be sold on to every piece of scum in the known universe.  This explains the silent treatment from any real person (low-lifeform) at the other end.  Let the phone ring until the other end gets fed up and ends the call, then dial 1471 and note down the number.  Google it to see what scum has tried to get you to allow them to waste your time and stress you out to boot.  In my own case a good 95% and more calls are in this category.  One day I’m going to live in a world where all such useless lowlifes are sent to a remote planet in outer space and quarantined there.

Have checked my phone bills and found that these b****ds called me on the 09/06/2015 and somehow managed to get an item charged to my account. I never press 5 to continue, or 9 to have details removed their database on these cold calls! Item was described as SERVICES FIXED FEE FF29. Beware!!!

Called whilst I was unavailable did not leave message on answer phone. I did not ring back.

They just called minutes ago I let it ring then checked the number. No message left. No one calls me so I am always wary and at a 6.15pm even less likely. I only answered to get the number and check it on here.

I have also been getting daily calls(sometimes multiple times) from this number. Have never answered after reading these comments as I always check unknown numbers out 1st.

Some unethical ambulance chaser making "not a sales call" to offer me compensation because their "records show I have worked in a noisy environment" which is just not true.

they keep phoning me every day more than once.  I am on TPS which doesn't seem to be doing its job.  Can't you stop these nuisance calls as it is getting beyond a joke.    I thought these cold calling firms were going to be fined and taken off the database.  Has this started yet, if not when.

First, try to understand what this website can/can't do: read the top of the home page, then go to the bottom and read "Legal Stuff". whocallsme couldn't give a monkey's twizzle about our frustrations, and grrrrr's, and annoyed-of-tunbridgewells (retired).
Second, then consider what the TPS actually does do; have a look - a GOOD look - at THEIR website; their a trade-funded body of reputable UK sales & marketing firms, that have undertaken to NOT call people who have registered their home and mobile lines. Why do you believe they can control let alone monitor firms outside UK, or who are not reputable or are not registered telemarketeers?
IF the firm contacted you is located in the UK and you DO tell them to remove your details from their database and they refuse or don't, then you should contact the ICO for being in breach of the DPA, for which there is legislation and considerable potential for being fined for persistent and multiple breaches of the rules on cold-calling. You will need to keep a record of all such calls, times, who you spoke to, etc - see the ICO website but note that silent calls are not covered, nor if the caller is actually overseas but disguising the number.
Third, create a petition on the downing street website, come back here and tell us when you've started and you should have thousands join you, I will.

They called but hang up before I'm able to get there. I would not answer it unless I know who is phoning.
