Had A call from a company called "satellite system care"  Seems to be another satellite scam.

Hassled me for card details and got aggresive when i refused to give them over the phone..

I looked them up online and they dont even seem to be regulated by the FSA, they claim the product is a "warranty" although my sky protect plan is actual insurance...

Dont trust these guys.

Im actually one of satellite system cares customers, I signed up because one of my HD boxes was having problems recording. After trying to fix the problem for me over the phone they had an engineer to my house the next morning who replaced the box. They did all this even before they took any payment. Can confirm this isnt a scam, unlike other companies out there selling this type of insurance. I was covered by nationwide satellite services who are exactly as the above post describes.

The above comment by “Mr Mike Dulce” is spam and fraudulent, he is not a customer of Nationwide Satellite Services.

Please be aware of phone calls from non-authorised warranty providers claiming their current insurance firm has liquidated as some customers have had already. They may try to obtain your policy number and other details – DO NOT GIVE THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Satellite System Care Ltd are NOT FSA regulated and offer an insurance product, thus are operating illegally and they have only been trading for two months so unlikely to have a track record.

Nationwide Satellites Services are fully FSA regulated and offer one of the lowest cost, most comprehensive cover plans in the market.

Further legal action is being taken and the FSA is has been made aware of Satellite System Care Ltd. We would insist if any further customers of Nationwide Satellite Services have been contacted by Satellite System Care Ltd and are willing to sign statements of any fraudulent calls made by the company then they get in contact with them straight away.

Unfortunately there has been some misunderstanding and confusion between customers, companies and individuals throughout these last 3 posts.

As a director of Satellite System Care I can assure everyone that we are in the application process of becoming regulated by a principal firm. Because of the due diligence involved in this application process it is not an overnight registration. It has to be done properly which is how we approach all of our business including letting our clients know that what we are currently offering is a 'maintenance and repair plan' as - until the registration process is complete - we are not an 'insurance' company as the above post stated.

We are a new company in the market and one of the reasons we have created this company is to offer a fully transparent and quality service. This is down to the fact that are aware there have been a few companies who have tarnished this industry as the above post has rightly mentioned.

We are also aware that there are two companies with similar names 1. Nationwide DIGITAL satellite services 2. Nationwide Satellite Service. This might well be where this mix up has come from.

Although we are only in the application process of becoming regulated we are FULLY complaint and up to standard with the rules and regulations set by the FSA and stringent rules have been put in place for our staff training sessions to make sure all of our advisors are also FULLY compliant. Constant coaching and monitoring of ALL our staff also ensure this remains the case.

Any of our customers or anyone interested in more information about our company in this regard are welcome to call us to discuss any of this in more detail. Further to this we would welcome any representative from Nationwide Satellite Services to contact us directly with any further queries.

Hopefully this clears up some of the confusion and our customers retain their confidence in us and the great service we continue to provide.

In reply to "Scam Alert":

1. BIG Warranties is the Ltd firm and Nationwide Satellite Services is a trading name for the satellite insurance arm, it owns Nationwide Satellite Services Ltd for IP reasons nothing more.

2. BIG Warranties is part of a group (Bournemouth Independent Group Ltd), this is very common for large companies. "Scam Alert" may not be too knowledgeable about such arrangements.

3. "Scam Alert" is simply trying to get the public/customers to 'Google' their name followed with scam to bring that term up on the search results that Google automatically creates. The general public and customers will see through this tactic.

4. Premier Sky Repairs Ltd is nothing to do with BIG Warranties Ltd, but are located in the same town.

5. This will not stop Nationwide Satellite Services or its sister firms monitoring and impeding illegal activities with the help of it's customers and the general public.

Further communication will follow through solicitors, nothing more. Nationwide Satellite Services will not be pulled into a 'banter' forum and as such no further reply's will be made on this page.

Your statement is false and as a director it is highly worrying that you are incompetant in your own market.

"Warranty" cannot cover a risk larger than the said premium taken for the service, a HD box is £200+ while your price plan is less, this constitutes insurance,..lNationwide Satellite repairs are also spot on with their info regarding the FSA.

You state your are compliant with the FSA, this isn't possible without being on the register and approved, therefore your statement can only be a lie, knowingly or not.. again this gives me zero confidence in your abilty to direct this company, or the company in general.

When you say your staff are "compliant" compliant against what? FSA have their own rules, which regs are you claiming to be "compliant" under?  Please for the love of god don't say the sale of goods act, you'll be laughed off this website..

Posting angry remarks on this website simply shows an unprofessional approach to business which is not how we want to be seen. We (just as Nationwide Satellite Services) refuse to get involved in an argument in a forum.

And also as mentioned before we are in the process of becoming registered with the FSA/regulated by a principal firm. Unfortunately we can't speed this process up no matter how hard we try. In order to become regulated we have to have certain amount of integrity and run a professional company. If there is any advice, however, that anyone feels might help us feel free to turn this into a positive thread.
