Satellite System Care. Why do all of their phone number not accept incoming call. The contact number to report faults and request a call out are "number is unobtainable". Sounds like a rip off merchant to me!

SSC. Some of you seem to be able to get through to SSC (mainly without any resolutions to your problem) I have been unable to even make contact with any of their number either on the contact or on the web site!. What number are you ringing?

The number given in the letter this scum sent to my elderly friend on 6th August is 0800 0778121, which is, supposedly, the Satellite Customer Care Helpline (there's a contradiction in terms!)

that number 0800 0778121 is not SSC's number, it belongs to another third party company who also do the same misleading business. All these third party companies all want to sound similar (Sat Cover, Satellite Protect, Satelliete Systems, Sat Care Protect) because they want you to think they are the same company of whom you were previously with.

You ask me "why havent these companies been shut down?"

The answer is because they use a clevery assumptive worded script which never actually says they are calling from sky or do they say they are the same company.

Like most companies who can only rely on cold-calling, most of the sales they get our from either old or naive persons who have a low IQ etc.

And because the script is so very celevery worded, 90% of those sky customers would not think it was a cold call, otherwise the number of sales would have dramatically dropped.

Are you really and ex-employee if so, why not state your name?

Why would anyone trust anything you say?

its your problem not mine and more improtatnly I want to protect myself and I dont know the company knowing which employee I am which I am sure u can apprechaite, i am just giving you true facts

Do they actually have engineers that come out and help you if your box gets faulty?

The reason I ask is because I bought insurance from these people last year when they rang me up in regards to my new sky HD box I had purchased a few weeks ago. The offer was for £320 for three years which included old for new and fast call outs and more importantly there was no excess.

However I have been trying to get in contact with them for the last 2 weeks as my HD box needs replacing but I can't seem to get hold of them? After looking on the internet to my horror I found this site (www.whocallsme.com). Now I feel like I have been conned and more importantly parted with alot of money which I never afford to lose (I am on a pension you see).

I keep on trying to ring them but the operater says "This number does not recieve incoming calls". They have either gone into liquidation or its a big con which most of us have fallen for. Is there anyway we can all get our money?

Try dialling the correct number you moron and taking english lessons as we clearly stated that we were NOT your current company!

How did you find out?

To all of you posting on here and some of you rather worried. Satellite System Care was a genuine company trying to provide cover for satellite equipment. The covered the entire UK bar a few islands in Scotland. Since they began many customers used SSC and received the level of cover purchased. There really was nothing untoward about this company.

If you look at every single satellite cover company on here it will all say the same thing. They are a scam etc. etc. The fact is if you are worried about any company you are in contact with... call them, pose the questions or simply cut ties... surely thats better? Yes there are companies out there trying to scam you but this wasn't one of those.

In any call centre cold calling, you will get sales staff pushing their boundaries. But they are clever and can work out ways not to get caught (by their employer). And with employment law the way it is a company has to tread carefully without solid proof.

When I worked for this company I know they were trying really hard to build a strong and fair business seeking FSA regulation. But like many businesses during these times and a business that was so young it didn't live to see its second year. But I know that the customer base has been handed to an FSA regulated business currently working its way through to contact every customer to honour the contract.

So no, they are not a scam... a genuine does what it says on the tin. Hype like this doesn't help anyone. If you were a customer of this company, don't panic, the FSA regulated company will call you to let you know your contract will be honoured and give you their contact info, company info. and FSA reg. number. Then you can check on the FSA website that they are regulated.

I just thought I would post this because there seems to be some rather concerned people out there and some vindictive ex staff members. Guys (ex staff), you know they don't deserve that, you should know better.

After the disgusting way this company treated my elderly friend (see earlier posts) I am sincerely glad they are no longer in business.
