all sky customers recieve a manaufacturers warranty from sky FOR THE FIRST 12 MONTHS...if anything goes wrong with the box only...mechanical or techicaL SKY WILL COME AND FIX or replace IT FOR FREE...AFTER THE 12 MONTHS the sky equipment is yours.. there is a call out fee which can b £65..each call out

sky themselves refer customers with complaints to domestic and general aka (trading name) skyprotect.
there are 69 companies that sell extended warranties which are insurance policies...for a premium each month or for the year...to get unlimited repairs..replacement and callouts..
most companies are regulated by the FSA...
it is true these are cold calls...how else do u expect them to do business????

Called to sell television insurance. When I told them they were breaking the law by trying to sell over the phone when I am signed up to the TPS they asked if I had paid this year. I said the TPS is free and they assured me I had to pay every year. Avoid!

I was sold insurance cover by Sat Lite Ensured in 2009, and switched to Sampora in 2011 (I did not know at that time that the two companies are connected). Here's a new twist on the tale. Last night about 9.15 p.m. I had a call from an asian sounding guy who said he was calling from Sky. He told me that the code on my Sky box (presumably my PIN code) was about to expire and told me he was about to send out a new one.  Then he told me that I was due a refund of £150 in respect of two years insurance premiums on my Sky equipment, which he said I hadn't needed. He knew my name and address and quoted me the last four digits of the  debit card number I had used to make the payments, and the name of the bank (Nationwide) which holds my account. Nationwide uses a card reader system for security purposes on online banking. He told me he would give me a code number to enter in my card reader so that I could receive the refund, but first he would need to know my Nationwide customer number (not my account number). I said I was unwilling to give him this, and that I wanted to check about these premiums. I asked him to ring me back in 24 hours. We continued to discuss and suddenly the line went dead. I contacted Sky this morning and was told there was no truth in the suggestion that I needed a new code. So that call did not come from Sky. The only people with the knowledge to quote me the info they gave me last night are Sampora. So now it seems they are trying to get confidential info about my online banking.

They had FSA but anymore , sampora started scaming people again by cold calling , they had been fined as well .. one of their partners chaudhry zameer left too , shameer and farrah the current directors who are brother and a sister in a relation were being jailed as well, they running this con from ages but still UK govt cant do anything . just be aware of this company , they own couple fo care homes too just to hide thier tax money .. they are based in Norbury windsor house london .

I was working in this company as a manager ....though my conscious didnt allow but had to earn money..,..its a total scam .... kindly stay away......if any of u need any details please respond and i will sup[ply u with it....as i know everyone right from owner to IT to customer service and renewals.....all are a big time scamsters..... they swipe ur card without ur consent

Am having several calls a day from this number. When I have bothered to answer the line goes dead. Yesterday I had 4 calls in an hour. Very fed up with this.

had 4 calls in 4 days. nobody there when i answer except for today a woman asked for me but my husband said  i wasn't available. she said she'd ring back later.  Can't wait!!!!!

This number rings my house phone most days and when we answer there is no one there.

Had a call 15.26 today, about satellite insurance.  She sounded so plausible and pleasant. It makes me really angry that people keep bothering us with these ridiculous calls.
