What annoys me about this lot is even
when you are paid up to date they still ring for days
asking to sort payment even though they confirm on screen you have paid
maddening!

thanks guys for letting me know that its new look that phone. Same here, I get at least 5 calls a day from them, BUT I DO NOT answer the phone when they call and am glad i know now so i can keep ignoring them.

Alfie, I am stunned you would insult your step daughter by calling her less educated.

Think about it laddie, if someone had no job or income they wouldn't be allowed a card. I suspect that your step daughter has been telling porkies to obtain free money.

She knew this and gave them your number so you would take the flak? And you catergorize her with the "less educated" people?

I've always found these guys quite pleasent. Any of you that are getting calls, whether you think you owe money or not, just give this number a call back.

As with any call centre there are bound to be bad experiences for some people.

I was stuck on holiday due to the ash cloud. When I returned I found that I had missed calls from this number and my mummy was very angry with the number of calls she'd recieved. I thought the sensible thing to do was call back to find out what the problem was. My bank hadn't sent my direct debit payment. The man on the phone was lovely. He was very softly spoken (if I'm honest he sounded quite dishy!)

He took the payment I owed from my card and refunded the fee I had incurred as I had called back and sorted it straight away.

Very good service and everything was sorted within about 5 minutes. I'm kind of hoping it goes wrong again so I get another chance to speak to that lovely man!

As I said, just give them a call. It's much better than ignoring the problem or going to the effort of changing your number. We have borrowed the money after all. (For those of you that don't think you have an aacount, I would definitely call straight away to get it sorted. It sounds like someone is stealing your identity, which is obviously not this company's fault.)

The reason they hang up is because they call 5 people or so.. whoever picks up first will drop the other 4 calls they make. You'r enot the first to pick up hence the call drops.

Just had yet another call from this number, they really are starting to annoy me!!! I have guessed from previous comments this is the people from my New Look storecard calling me, however I have made my payment for this month so I would quite like them to do one!! They have been calling me up to 5 times a day for ages now, INCLUDING SUNDAYS which really takes the you-know-what!! Grr!!! I just answered, left my phone on the side, and turned my music up really loud so I hope they enjoyed that!

if u try ringing them and they ask for an account number, just hold the line for a minute or two and don't type anything, then you will get transferred to an advisor. hope that helps!

If you don't recognise a number, particularly if it is a non-geographical number (08 numbers), you shouldn't answer it.  If the want to get hold of you, they will leave a message.  

WARNING: Some of these numbers are being used as a scam.  There will either be no one talking at the other end or they will tell you they are from IKANO or some other storecard provider in order to keep you on the line for the sufficient amount of seconds to trigger the system by which they are then able to charge calls to your number.

Ikano financial services deals with/owns a number of store cards, not just ikea (although they were originally owned by ikea) so new look, mango, warehouse, benson for beds, oasis, karen milen, jager, cargo, sleepmasters and various opticians are all included.

i agree, think i owe about £4.50 and they've called 4 times today!!

ikano works with new look,so if you used your new look card,but forgot to pay,ikano calls you to get the money that you owe.

I have an old sim card and it has not been used for over 2 years, I decided to try and use it again earlier this week and since I have put it in to my phone I have had 7 calls a day since....2 YEARS after not using it....I mean...surely thats a bit OTT??

Its a bit of a nightmare to be honest, I havent answered any of the calls anyway, and dont intend to. Now I know who it is, I know that I am making payments so...

Erm not bein funy love but how can u say anyfing when they hang up the phone!!! and when u call back cant get through!

These keep calling my misses.
She has a Next store card that is all paid up to date but they keep calling and hanging up.
The store say that they the collection company hang up hoping you will call the number back(at a high chatge rate).

I have had a silent calls between yesterday and to day from this number. I guessed it would be to do with New Look as i had remembered (ok, may have been a late remember) that my payment was due so called and payed most of the money and it was a similar number. I then phoned the help desk and spoke to a lovely woman to make sure i didnt incure to much interest and therefore would have payed more off, she told me that it was fine and i dont need to make another payment until Febuary. So why are these people calling me now that i am up to date???

they call then when you answer the phone goes dead. this has happened several times in the past week. its bloddy enoying.

I have paid them £47 yesterday and they are still calling me. I have got no idea.
