I have been getting a lot of calls from this number. It appears my daughter has a store card with New Look and she has missed a few payments on this. I suspect they will be calling you for something similiar. I'm not sure why everyone is getting over heated about the calls.. simply answer or call them back.
When you take credit out, what do you expect? You have after all borrowed money from a company. Of course they are going to chase you for it whether this is £1.00. The sooner you take action the better.- Caller: Ikano
- jimkeep getting phone call messages from this number saying for my sister to call new look asap
im asuming she is in debt to them but she says she isnt (but shes full of [***]) not sure what to do about this.- Caller: new look

- Katier265 replies to Just a FriendWould say you are either: filthy rich and able to afford all your repayments on the exact date they are due, or don't have an account and putting forward your opinion- when lets face it, I'm pretty sure a lot of people here haven't asked for it. OR you work for this company and they are paying you a huge commission to ring people 5, 6, 7 times a day!
As you can tell, I am not in any mood to read (and be told) "use my common sense" I have a teaching degree- please don't insult my intelligence.
Kind Regards - Madi
i have hust received my first call from these people, my friends Daughter works for new look and asked me to open a store card (there must be some award for how many you open) But the card has to be activated so my friends daughter said she would purchase something cheap a £2.00 pair of earrings that have ended up costing £14 then £26 and if i don't pay it this time God knows how much it will be next time. I have since cut up the card and never intended to use it anyway as i don't believe in them, interest sky high etc. All this stress for something i didn't even see and to help a friend out, NEVER AGAIN- Caller: IKANO

- Annoyed Much? Our house keeps getting these calls, for my daughter who moved out over a year ago, which are often silent. However, we have had a lady say 'we're ringing to tell you how much you p*ss us off' and other rubbish. After doing 1471 and google we found out it was IKANO FINANCES. This is the company behind many store cards, INCLUDING ikea, new look, warehouse, oasis... the full list (I think) is on this page....http://www.ikano.net/contactus.php.... They did eventually stop calling, but I understand how incredibly annoying and rude they are. I hope this helps!

- ME| 1 replyI had a call from this number but missed it. I do have a New Look store card which I pay off whenever I receive a statement. They hardly ever bother to send the statements, and then charge me for not paying! There's no way of finding out what you owe on their website and they won't tell you in store. How am I supposed to know how much to pay or WHEN if they don't tell me until after the deadline?!?! Steer clear of these store cards, they are a con!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- Me| 2 repliesJust for the record, a store card is not a credit card. You don't need an income or credit check to get one and they don't charge interest. They make their profit by charging people fees when they forget to pay. They make sure you forget to pay by not sending statements because they "don't have your current address" that you've told them five times. Steer clear.
- VickyThis number keeps calling me, i have explained why my payment is late and when they will get it but they just keep calling. Every time i've explained they say they will mark the records, clearly not if they keep calling.
I will not pay my council tax next month if they like so i can pay the whole thing off at once. I'm sick of the calls- Call type: Debt collector
- stevo86| 1 replyI got a bed on finance from sleepmasters a year ago, started paying in dec 10 and would be finished sept 2011. Stopped my direct debit when sept payment came out as i never trust these loan companies to not keep taking money. Started getting 10 calls a day to work number, which worryingly i never disclosed to them, my dads phone number, again never gave them this number, and my own phone number, which was the only number i gave. They said i had missed payments in january, i said it is a direct debit so how could i miss this, he just said check your statements your wrong! Checked it and they hadnt taken it. Yet it took them all year to chase ME for it! They then said i owed them 12 pound charges, but i needed to speak to my bank about that? Wouldnt explain what that meant. Then hung up. Payed the january payment and was told i dont owe anything now, then a month later, yesterday, the calls and texts started yet again asking for the 12 pound charges, that they said i needed to talk to my bank about!? Long and short of it if you want finance from a shop or credit and you see Ikano on the agreement, walk away and either try somewhere else or do without and save for what you need if you can.
Seasons greetings all.
Oh and if anyone of the previous posters defending this shister company work for them, GO F@#k YOURSELF!- Caller: ikano finance, sleepmasters

- I-Know replies to stevo86Classic case of cancelling dd early, you should always check before you just cancel dd that you have no payments outstanding which you obviously did, and companys like this will always send you a letter coming to the end of agreement to confirm you have one payment left and a letter after confirming you have completed it. You took it upon yourself to cancel the dd, take some repsonsibility!.
- I-Know replies to MeJust for the record this is complete nonsense. Store cards are a credit facility and run like credit cards, you do need to have a credit check , this will be done when you apply, and they DO charge interest if you do not pay the full balance each month like a credit card would. Statements are only sent as an aid, and if not received give them a call, take some responsibility, or don't sign for one in the first place!.
- Guy with jobCompanies like this only call when you have missed a payment! Take responsibility of your account and make your £3.65 payment and you won't receive these calls - it's not rocket science!!!

- Person with half a brain replies to MEGet real and pay ur bills!!! Blaming the post??? So you didn't receive a statement, your wearing your nice new shoes and dress but as you didn't receive a statement why should you pay for them??? People like you make me sick! IT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO NOTE DOWN YOUR PAYMENT DATE. WHY?? BECAUSE IF YOUR STATEMENT GETS LOST IN THE ETHER THEN YOU STILL KNOW WHEN TO MAKE A PAYMENT!!!

- OPEN YOUR EYES| 1 replyARE YOU ALL THICK? If you opened your eyes and read your statement you would know who it was calling you! SERIOUSLY! Next time your out buy some bloody brain cells :)
- open your eyes 2 replies to OPEN YOUR EYESI wouldn't be calling people thick if I wrote "next time your out buy some bloody brain cells" when it should be "next time you're out"
