I had a call from this number and when i called them back i said i was an emerency call and for me to get in touch with my local alarm company not to sure what they meant any ideas?

This is an alarm monitoring company usually advising the owner their alarm has gone off.

Alarm monitoring company. I had an alarm call out from this number as I'm a key holder for work.

if you get a call from this number you need to be aware that it is due to a possible break in at a site you are responsible for all you need to do is say "can you take this number off your records please", please remember that to swear at someone over the phone no matter how annoyed you are is breaking the law and to be fair theres no need for it after all these are a third party and your number has been provided to them via an alarm company so they are not directly responsible for wrong numbers taken.

i got a call on home phone and straight after on  my mobile ten minutes after i sent an email to someone and asked if they had any vacancies for a job ,i did go to there web site and coppied and pasted their contact details into live mail ,is there any way that someone is: intercepting  this email as i just put both phone numbers on the mail .i didn't answer either cos i didnt recognise the number , coincidence ?who knows .its wired to internet not wireless !

The reason for this call is that you are a keyholder for an alarm system or you used to be, by ignoring the call it just means that if the alarm goes off again your just going to get called again, all you have to do is answer and say you are no longer a keyholder and your information will be removed.

this number is for an alarm recieving center , i know this cause i work for this company , we are not scammers ! we inform listed keyholders of alarm activations. we understand that people dont like being called at all hours but this is our job . sure you would all like to know if your house is being burgled or on fire

When this company rang me I was told to "Press 1 if I was able to attend or 2 if I could not attend". The postcode they quoted at the start of the call was not mine so they clearly had the wrong person. If they're genuine they are seriously inefficient! I wouldn't want them looking after my alarm!

I just had a call from this number, like the above poster the quoted postcode was not mine. I pressed 2, hope someone checks it out because there's no way to tell these people that they have the wrong number.

08448791719 - rang my mobile at 7.31 am on a Saturday morning. It woke me up & I answered and nothing was said. There was no background noise. I wouldn't normally answer an unknown call, but I was still mostly asleep when i answered. Aren't there any regulations about the times when companies can call?

I am not on any list that I know of and calling at 10.20 pm at night (this is the second call from this number this evening). The recorded message makes no sense - doesn't even say what it is doing.

This number called me twice at 4.30AM, less than impressed I didn't answer and now I know this is a con I will report it. This number rang my work phone so I can not have this phone on silent, not happy.

so you're saying this not Alarm Monitoring company after all .... still, wonder how they got your work phone number? Most odd and unwelcome interruption to sleeping pattern.  Good luck with complaint.

called us in the middle of the night
stated an alarm had gone off and could we attend
the postcode they gave was 200 miles away
we have no alarm and are not on any lists
if this is a reputable company wouldn't want them looking after my security if they can't get the information correct
I suspect they want us to ring them back on their premium rate number to complain and cash in

Hate to think what your response might have been if you'd seen 'a' 's comments at the time, almost 5 years ago. Or did you post it in + got lost in system? Snail-mail does that.
