2 missed and 4 silent in 2 days.

They phoned me 4 times yesterday, and 3 times this morning already!
Getting annoyed now, but havn't answered once. I think I might answer and start having some fun.

I simply add these cold call senders (after checking on here) to a phone book entry called "Telesales" on my G1 Mobile, I have many numbers listed under that 1 entry. I then have the phone set up so that all calls from "Telesales" divert straight to the answer machine. They never leave a message.

These people ring me several times a day and leave a blank voicemail which, being abroad, I have to pay to retrieve.  I rang the number back and you can type in your number to be removed, hope it works!

Received two calls from this number today, the first hung up on me when I answered and the second turned out to be someone acting on behalf of Swinton Insurance. Basically the guy on the phone said because I had had a quote from them (and we are going back YEARS) I was on their calling list. He then put me through to another person. It seems to me that this company get you on the phone then transfer you to the company they are trying to get the sales calls for (whoever they happen to working for at the time). In other words I don't think he was actually from Swinton. Needless to say I ensured I was removed off their cold calling list. Telephone preference service seems to do nothing to stop these calls, as I have been registered with it for years and when companies ask whether it's ok to use my details in future I always say it's not, I don't know how these companies get away with this gross invasion of privacy.

As above, this number has been dialling me for 3 days (morning, lunch & afternoon), this time i decided to answer it and it was.... Swinton insurance for a new quote, seeya Swinton!!!

Absolute pests. Regular weekday calls . All unknown caller ID calls are ignored so these clowns are just wasting their time and energy.

Do they honestly believe they will get any business by cold calling and making a thorough nuisance of themselves.

They are also somehow affiliated to Hero Insurance ( 0208 3071104  and 0208 3072904 ) who are calling another number of mine - again all calls are ignored.

The TPS is useless as well as no corrective action is taken by them to police this bad practice.

when I picked up the phone a long message played stating 'market research' & will ring back - Iam ex-directory & signed up for preferred service. Detest un solicited calls

This really is a cheek.  I have a mobile phone for convenience - that's MY convenience, not market research companies' convenience.  I suggest if you get a call from these people you request that they remove your number from their database permanently and immediately.  They have to do this if you request it.  If they persist, report them to your phone company for nuisance calls.

I got a call on this number from Swinton Insurance because they believed my car insurance was up for renewal.  Errr, no it isn't.

Just had a missed call form them whilst at work. Thought Id search here before ringing back. Glad I did! Now added to reject list!!!

ring me up for some bull [***]......??? i tell them im not bothered!!!!!! and hang up
they ring again 10 mins later i let them talk for 5 mins to them selfs............ and then  ask the killer question ''can you ring me back in 5 mins my batt is flat on this number/.... 01924431059''

Phone companies like bt and talk talk sell your number to marketing companies. so yeah thats how they get your number. and if you want to be removed of the call list you have to pay. one of the most annoying scams of all time.

like others have commented before, got several calls from this number but no one on the other end of the line.. very very annoying

Two calls from this number today ,im disabled and takes me a while to get to the phone -NOT impressed when they hang up straight away!

wont stop phoning

Over 15 calls in the past few days. Answered three times to stoney silence. Today I dialled 08450020781 to learn this is a tele-marketing company and that you can be removed from their listing by dialling 08450020782. That is an automated service which can be used from any phone to record the number that you wish to be added to the “do not call” list.

Got called by 08450020781 at 12:02 today, no response when answered and hung up.  My number is registered with the TPS (has been for a number of years) and so will be registering a complaint regarding this caller - whoever they are!

Lil [***] just phoned and hung up when I picked up.. Guess they must be calling people and hanging up just so it registers as a call in they're little call service.

I'm registered on the TPS too.

And this is why I don't pick up my phone 99% of the time.. caught me there.
