I have just got a phonecall from this number. No one there when i answer. I think they get the numbers off websites maybe. Really annoying, hope i dont have the same problem as you guys.

Well I was in class on facebook and just realised i had answered but i hung up straight away, and it can't be a phone company, they don't harass people like this? This is the first time they called me, don't know if they will call me again..

getting about 4 phone calls a day from this number for the last week, pretty sure it has something to do with phones for you never rings long enough to answer and they never leave a message, can't ring back either as its always a wrong number.

Had a call of this number earlier today and missed it.
Literally read this page 5 minutes ago, and then got a call from the number again.

It was a woman from phones4U basically saying someone I 'apparently' know has recently bought a phone from there and got a really good package and asked if they would do anything for me today. I simply told her I've not had my current phone long and I'm happy with the phone, contract and network I'm with. She said that's fine thanks and we said bye, so I think I'll be left alone now.

I suggest other people say something similar :)

Sheash, they seem to be phoning a lot of numbers. My phones on silent and not vibrate so I havn't answered at all but looking at what others have put here I'm not going to.

I recieved my first call from them yesterday evening & they've rung me 3 times today, who or what is it? Its really irritating me! If it goes any further i am reporting it!

I had a call from this number. It's Phones4U. I asked why they were calling - I am not connected to this company at all. They said my friend "Amy Brown" gave my number to them. I said that I don't know anybody called Amy Brown (because I don't). The agent then said that they had computer problems and perhaps the information was mixed up but that one of my friends did recommend me for a deal with Phones4U. I'm on a 24 month contract which I recently renewed and I know that none of my friends would give this number out anyway.

I used to work in cold calling (Yes, I'm very ashamed) and it's a standard trick to imply a friend has recommended you. I've told them to remove me from their database but I'm sure they won't!

Hi - it's Phones4You, if you call the number back it's a recorded message telling you that "you've been contacted by Phones4You and there's no need to call them back as they'll try and contact you again in the next few days" - I really wish they wouldn't!

this number is from phones4 u there phoning me three times a day to offer me a contract phone

i just had this number call me it was phones4u saying a friend put my name down to have a free handset =s they even asked for dannie (which is a nickname from lots of friends)

they called me yesterday with a recorded message. i hung up. then they called back with a real live person giving me the hard sell on a vodafone (im sure she said vodafone head office not fones for u!) contract fone as i had been 'nominated' for a special deal by a friend. She even gave my friends name. I asked her to call me back the next day as i was in work. since then i have spoken to my friend who did not nominate me and instead traded in her old fone which they have just helped themselves to the numbers in her address book and are systematically calling.( Apparently they ask you for your bank details and then empty your account, or so the rumour goes)
She went into the shop where she traded in her fone and they jus said they couldnt pass on her numbers due to data protection and they have been getting alot of complaints about this type of thing.

The scary thing is I do need a new contract and my friend HAD been talking about her fone to me the day before so i cud well have bought it. Also a mutual friend of ours got the same call and almost considered purely based on the credibility of the friend who nominated him. even tho she didnt. She is devastated incase someone gets sucked in because of the mention of her name. So wrong how they're now using our friends against us!!

Dont answer, chances are they'll charge you for it.

they keep calling me, i rang back and it says that it's phones4u and there's no need to ring them back as they will ring back in the next few days. i think i'll tell them where to go...
