Received a silent call - intercepted by answerphone.  Unusual as most telephone sales withhold the number and so they were relying on caller ident to get me to call back.

they are getting money from ringback don't ring back UPS has the same number
strange that they share the same number when i did a ring back it was a retirement service
not who i thought it was UPS????????

called 8 times today - who is this?????

Received numerous phone calls from this number recentlhy, have never answered

Juat got a call from insure for retirement, if you ring number back and wait for option 2 it gives you the option to remove your number, it says it will be removed within 2 hrs but we will see

when I asked why they had not checked the TPS database they gave some blather about all calls being passed on from another company
says she will exclude me from further calls: I've heard that before

Just had phone call from this number and they said were ringing on behalf of Johnstons Press then proceeded to ask me about my home and car insurance. Wanted to give me quotes even though neither due for quite a while.

Did 1471 was this number so returned call gave a few options and number2 option was to remove my number from there system :)

Got a call from this number at about 16:45 - no-one spoke then connection broke. I registered with TPS a few weeks ago but they say it can take weeks before unwanted calls are prevented.

Persistent caller - insure for retirement (probably insure4retirement at Bournemouth?). When challenged over calling a TPS registered number, claimed that numbers sometimes drop off the list. Explained that if that had happened, I would be getting loads of calls. Complaint lodged via tpsonline.

08450451530  keeps ringing my number several times a day. As the phone is permanently on answerphone I never answer it and there has never been a message left. I was going to call the number back to see who it was but having read the long list of complaints I shall ignore it. Hope they get a big telephone bill for annoying people.

Got that call today at 14:45, no one on the line.

Might have been called by them yesterday about the same time......  asking about my computer.... I refused to give any information so they went silent but kept my line open.

I had a call from 08450451530 today 28-4-2011, a lady said she was from Insure for retirement I informed the lady that I am registered with Telephone Preference Service (TPS) http://www.mpsonline.org.uk/tps/ and told her to take my details off their database which she said she would.

She also informed me that my name address and phone number was given (More likely sold my information) to them from Johnson Press PLC http://www.johnstonpress.co.uk who are a major publisher of local newspapers and local internet sites, basing its publishing philosophy on local service to local communities. and with whome I shall be telling them too to get my details off.

I've had this number repeatedly calling me over the past couple of months. I no longer answer but it's getting a nuisance. I have been registered on the TPS for many years and have complained about the number. I also used moneysupermarket.com a few months ago, coincidence?

I have very few nuisance calls thesdays.  The best way to deal with them is to ask them their business.  Ask for name, address and telephone number (repeatedly) the minute they make contact.  It really puts them off their stride as they read from a script.  And, make them put the 'phone down first (don't hang up).  Their bosses record this which makes them look as if they are not doing their job.  You won't get rid of the calls entirely but taking the initiave gives you the upper hand.

Company is Insure for Retirement and calling about home insurance.  Used moneysupermarket and go-compare yesterday......must be from them.  they can go and jump

Didn't answer as nobody has this landline number (nobody from out family/friends/bills etc its a new number) dialed 1471 and this came up.

googled to find this page, second time this number has called us now and both times i do not answer, getting irritated now.

called again not long ago. simce ive not given numbers out anywhere i have emailed bt who my landline is with.

Called today, didn't get surname right, so didn't get to speak to who they called for.  Shame, I could have given them a piece of my mind on behalf of the person they were calling for! :)
