Just received call - did not ansa and won't in future!

Managed to answer and interrogate them today.

They sell home insurance.
They said they got my number from information I had put in a website...

This is Moneysupermarket.com (so they say)

Caller phoned and hung up just as I answered!

Has called several times.  I don't answer as I don't know who it is.

Called twice on 11 April then again today 17 April.  No one at the other end.  My phone is ex-directory and TPS registered yet these bozos keep calling?  I work nights and they wake me up as the calls are late morning or early afternoon.  I wish they'd stop and think.

They've upped the calls to 5 a day now.  I answered in the hope that I could persuade them to stop calling, but they hung up.  If a private subscriber made nuisance calls on this scale they would be investigated and prosecuted for harassment by the police.  But it seems these call centres are immune??

Receive this call several times a week. Never leaves a message on the answer machine?

Hang up call.  Reading above it's probably related to insurance.  I've not long renewed my car insurance but I did it via Daily Mail financial who I think use Moneysupermarket.com  I always tick - when given choice - NOT to pass my details on to anyone and I'm also registered with TPS.  My house insurance is due but I received an 'for retirement call' yesterday (already retired, albeit early) with a with-held number!
How do you stop them calling now they've started?  These aren't the only ones I'm getting.  They're starting to come out of the woodwork!

I am angry at you keep calling a number registered as not to be caaed with the telephone preference services.

Hanging up when I answer is not very good to gain business anyway.

Asking my name after I have given it does not speak well of your efficiency.

I have started getting these calls since renewing my car insurance and looking for a house insurance quote. I left the tick in the box on the compare the market.com website(on the terms and conditionson page) which allows them to forward your details to their trusted business partners!!
