Never been with BG - never will at their prices!

I keep getting calls from 08459555815 and as some already listed, two rings then nothing.

Doesn't this cost them - to annoy people who aren't even their customers- too??

I actually got someone on the other end when I answered today and she asked for someone I had never heard of.   Most important I do not and never have had any gas from british gas.

i have been called five times within the space of an hour, first couple of times it just rang and rang, then when i finally answered they hung up, all my bills ahve been paid within a week of recieving them, so why are they calling? and i have all my reciepts as proof.

Just had quite an intimadating call.  I said I would go home later and pay the bill online - but the girl on the phone was adamant I should give her my credit card details there and then.

It might well be genuine as she knew my address and bill amount - but I'm not in the habit to give out those details to a random person calling me.

(It takes a few seconds for the person on the other end to realise you've answered then come on.)

BG have just done there first stupid call to me- and i only got the bill 3 days ago! bad bad bad british gas!

haha they have called again and if u stay on the line long enough an automated message comes up and says this is british gas call us blah blah.
i say if people dont hang up and make it play for a minute this will be a less cost effective way for them to bully people.

Swines rang me at 12.36 on a Saturday after a heavy night out.

I never have and never will be a customer of British gas.I don't even have my own place - rented or otherwise as i've just graduated. This number has been calling me on and off for the last year (sometimes upto 15 times a day) when i do answer they have many different identities for me - and refusing to believe i'm non of them - idiots. Its infuriating that this company can be allowed to intimidate people when they are not even with them. variations of the number i get calls from are are - 008459555815, 0018459555815, 0008459555815 and many more (all in one day mind)- as if any variation of this obviously altered number will get me answering to rude arrogant foreign people for a supposedly British supplier. I dread to think how many calls id get if i were a customer with a late bill. not very customer friendly.I've just typed in the different numbers into Google and each has its own discussion. The same thing keeps coming up - thats its British gas - some calls from abroad - others automated that hang up.I believe other companies can also gain access to Bgas customer numbers for their own gains. I have even received a text message telling me to ring up and give my new details. Fat chance, as soon as anyone answers on the other end they'll wish they never called me. I'm just getting annoyed that they have my phone number when they have no right to it.Someone from BG customer service should really read these comments. Thats if they have one.

I keep getting silent calls from 0845 9555815, when I phoned back it was British Gas collections team. I currently have a dispute, as I have changed supplier, now British Gas are trying to charge me for 100 units when I have only used 50.

BG is run by people who want to make money not provide you with Gas - don't get upset by them - change to Southern Electric. Do not ring them - let them chase you. We are honest hardworking people

i woke u0 pand gave them loads and told them never to ring back...once they have ur number,they think they might get something out of you...

I've had this number calling today...but I sacked British Gas 6 months ago because they are a rip off...maybe thats why I get the calls lol

Had this number call today - it was from B Gas. Rang them back but the woman I spoke to said, 'well I haven't called you...' and didn't even acknowledge it was them. We have had serious on-going problems with B Gas - moved in Feb 07 - not been billed yet, despite several calls from me to get a bill out. One bill we did recieve had the wrong address and meter serial number and was for over £1000. When she finally acknowledged a bill hadn't been created, she then had the cheek to ask me to make a payment!!! Why would I pay them when I haven't been billed.

I love the fact that someone has put on here 'PAY YOUR BILL ON TIME' I can only assume this person is a brown tongue British Gas employee. Some advice for you would be to 'GET A LIFE!' Can I suggest you get your crappy management to sort out their staff and systems and provide a decent service to the people who keep you in a job.

Can't wait to complain and switch once I finally have my final bill.

Have been getting calls for a couple of weeks.  Did pick up once, to foreign sounding lady claiming she was from British Gas asking who are gas and electricity suppliers are, and started to try to sell BG.  However, I cut her short explaining we are in rented and aren't able to change suppliers, with which she said she would amend our records so this would be noted on our account.  Unfortunately, I have had at least another 5 calls from this number since, obviously I no longer respond.

i have been getting calls from this number and another number of BG, also text messages. sometimes I answer and no one is there, most times I ignore it, partly because I told them to call me back on Thurs at 7 as I was going away from then until the Monday, they didn't call but continued about 10 times a day even though I was away.

Are they allowed to use these intimidating tactics, surely it is illegal to constantly call someone and now answer.

Received a silent call from 0845 955 5815.  The phone rang at 3.13pm on 11 Sept 08, when I answered it there was no one there.

I'e had 3 calls from this number, two today. Each time I've picked up and no one has answered for a few seconds. Then a woman asking for someone; so far mrs westlake and a mr. something and when I tried to say that they've got the wrong number they hang up on me! Very annoying and I can't keep them on the line long to tell them to get lost!! this has obviously been going on for a while. Come on British Gas sort yourselves out!!
