Got a call from this number this afternoon.  Some snotty bloke demanding payment and that if I didnt pay immediately there was a £50 late payment fee being added.  Told him it would be paided online today, he claimed that was no good because it takes 4 to 5 days to go through and I had to give him my details immediately.  He was told where he could go.  :P

Pay your bills on time and no one would call you would they.

Don't call this number. It is not british gas. It is a scam. Since registering with BG to pay my bill (not late) I have had calls from this and 008450701169- clearly not an 0845 number but an overseas number(hence the 00 start). BG have someone giving out knowingly or not to scammers. email BG with details. Enough emails and they might do something about it.

I have been pursued by British Gas for two months for payment of a bill I don't owe them.

I have been getting 5 calls a day from this number and recently instructed my solicitor to sue them for harassment.

If you are suffering their repeated calls then phone them on this number:
0800 072 8628. They don't publicise it as it is a free phone number and they pay the bills. Feel free to let rip at their expense or just hang up when they answer - give then a taste of their own medicine!

ive been getting calls from this number for the past week and I am not a British Gas customer - so it's not a case of pay your bills and they won't call you.

It is Capita debt collectors in Leeds ringing on behalf of British Gas. The Leeds area code is 0113
