WEBWORKS INTERNET ARE A TOTAL SCAM - TRUST ME ! I HAVE JUST LEFT WORKING FOR THEM !!!!

We did used to keep customers credit card details and roll their payments over if we could not get hold of them, we used to hammer customer off all directories and bad mouth the competition from ufindus, INFOSERVE in particular, first search, yell, etc.

Promise the earth and deliver nothing, absolutely hound people to pay for daft add ons like seo that actually didnt work, the seo that webworks does isnt even seo !! its title tag and keyword stuffing at the bottom of the page, do it yourself, THEY ARE A SCAM GUYS PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR IT, TAKE IT FROM THE HORSES MOUTH, I was employed in telesales there!!! people come and go constantly because GED is a moron to work for and his other minions!!!!

WEBWORKS INTERNET IS A COMPLETE SCAM !!! DO NOT GET CAUGHT, and the funny thing is when people used to read these reviews about us on the net and want a refund or wont pay us we used to claim they are reviews from rivals !!! hahahahaha !!!! yeh course they are !! its a case of blagging just so we can get a card off the customer then they are not bothered!!

I have left working for webworks internet darlington just recently! they DO keep credit card details and that is why they are currently under investigation for doing so ! as the above person said we claimed that the reviews about us were from rival companies infoserve, scoot etc ! Dont trust a work what they say, webworks internet is a massive scam,you pay £99 for a site and then they hammer and hammer you into more things ! Gez is a prat to work for and everyone slates him who works there, there is a couple of "top sellers (top scammers) who strut about the place thinking they are god! ! ! ! daft kids half of them who work there !!! take it from keep well away from this place and the people that go with it! i know you will be reading this too as you are constantly checking blagger and things like this to see what reviews each day have been written about webworks!!! STAY CLEAR !!!

I'ts good to know that you guys are still up to your old tricks, as i'm another in the long line of ex employees of Webworks Internet and let's be clear from the outset they are NOT a web design company they are a sales company. If you are ever thinking of expanding your business into getting a website, search around your local area and find a reputable design company who will do a decent job for you.

If your on a tight budget and have a little understanding of the internet and computers consider getting a website package from companies like 1and1 who offer great packages and enable you to create your own sites that you are in full control of for a fraction of the cost of Webworks.

If you have already gone with webworks or considering their proposal, run away now, but be prepared for a wrangle when trying to cancel or gain some sort of control over your domain name that is in your name or business name that Webworks will claim sole ownership of and attempt to charge through the nose to transfer over to you.

As I have noticed this page appears top of the list on Google when typing in Webworks Internet Scam its obvious that people will read this page when approached by this company to see if they are reputable. The short answer is no, and don't even give them a sniff of your credit card details as their greed will take over, the more you spend the more they will keep coming back and upsell you into more things you don't need.

Oh and yes Gerard is a complete mongchop who has zero understanding of his own business.

it seems this company are up to their old tricks again.
I have paid the money (more fool me) and have had absolutely nothing from them since I paid apart from a disk and paperwork sent my mission statement ,company particulars etc which they have not put together correctly,then ignored me totally for 4 months now (six months into contract and still no site) sent e.mails to original sales rep ,admin ,and the director ,spoke to them by telephone to be told that They would not refund as they have built the site ! NO I BUILT THE SITE  they just cannot be bothered posting it as they are only interested in putting a few of their own pictures up and not using the ones they were provided with, of course if i was to allow them to use their pictures i would be slapped with another bill from them .
After the initial contact from their sales rep Brendan (who they now say has left the company) I was provided with 4 companies that they had built sites for, I contacted all four companies 3 of which said they were fine . 1 however said they were terrible and did not provide . I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went with them. That was a very stupid decision on my part with hindsight.

It's also worth mentioning to the person that did such thorough research on Gerard's past there. That the domain registry details are entirely fake.

John Brogan does not exist and used to act as a pseudo name for Gerard if he had to talk to people and did not want to give his real name.

The address listed in the domain registry is also not theirs, its an address across the car park from them  that was never updated to defer accountability.

As per nominet rules if anyone feels to report them as they are at risk of having their domains suspended or revoked for providing false details on their domain registration, which as a business is something that you really should take care of especially seeing as internet and websites is their bag (or so they lead people to believe)

any Idea what their real address is? I will need it as the only way forward is to sue this company before they take money from my credit card nos at the end of the term .

I received a cold call from this company a few years ago, and had anyway been considering getting a website done for my business.   Getting set up with them has been a NIGHTMARE, which I think has almost ended.  They have bullied, called constantly to offer me extras like a CMS website which was a joke when a trial finally (months after I paid up) appeared, with pictures bouncing down and so tacky.  It was clear this had not been designed at all, although they assured me they had designed it.  My son who works in IT said it hadn't been designed, so to pretend it had been must be illegal. I had to pay upfront (stupid me) and fight to get my money back through a solicitor, but could not otherwise get rid of them - because they shout over you down the phone, are aggressive and threatening. I now have a fight to get my domain back, (which clearly belongs to me)and pay a year's hosting for the privilege of leaving them - and yes, it is a privilege.  They should be closed down so they don't give all this grief to anyone else.

I personally feel i recieved a good service from these guys i think it may be the fact they have a high turnover of staff perhaps some people get left but i was recommended by a friend and we both have outstanding websites and service i would recommend asking for a employee called Luke if you ring up hes an established member of staff very professional, my sites now live number 1 on google and ive had a few comments from customers already.

I would just like to thank the team at webwork for the great site that they created me it seems allot of comments on here are from very angry ex sales people and they must be a reason you no longer work for them i guess it would be down to you not hitting sales targets,But i trusted my own judgement and now have agreat new site i have even recommend my dad to have one done I would like to also thank the Sales manager Adrian for quickly coming back to me and also helping me get the best out of my site.

I have recently had a website designed by Webworks and from personal experience I have no idea where these bad reviews are coming from. I am 100% satisfied with the service they provided me with - referring to the art pack that I received to which I had full control over what went into my website, the design team designed my website to my full expectations and it was up and running on the major search engines (Google, Bing and Yahoo) in around 2 1/2 weeks.
The promised price of £99 plus VAT for the year is all I have had to pay.
NO HIDDEN COSTS WHAT SO EVER!

I personally feel I received outstanding customer service from webworks. Very professional and friendly staff. If anyone is thinking about going to these guys for a website I would highly recommend it and ask for a staff member called David. Very helpful and guided me through the process of getting my website up and running. 10/10 for these guys!

I was going to use Webworks for a new website and thank god I didn't!! They are a bunch of crooks. The guy in charge - G Brogan goes by four different names!! If that doesn't send alarm bells then I don't know what does. I did my research on them and found that they keep your credit card details - on paper in a filing cabinet!!! Surely this is illegal - I suggest anyone with webworks stops because they are doing things that aren't legal. Please keep away from them - I decided to use a freelance web designer and have had no problems at all. Yes it was a little more but the benefits have reaped in!
