I received call from 088888888888 twice today and each time I answered there was no reply. I was very frightened, because it is a strange telephone number and I live alone.

The familiar scam about 'problems with your computer' and how they could fix them. I pretended to follow his instructions to press some of the buttons on my laptop and strung him along, asking how they got my number and what the firm was called. They claimed to be part of Microsoft. To this I replied "'No you're not, you're a lying [***] and you can stick your phone up your **** and kindly **** off!" To which he replied "And you!"

Usual Indian/Pakistan accent, same old story. My advice, just hang up or have a bit of fun wasting their time (and your own).  WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T follow any instructions they give or they will take control of your computer remotely then charge your credit card to pay for their 'services'. They are nothing to do with Microsoft, who would never contact you in this way, and besides, no one can 'see you have problems' with your computer remotely, that's an impossibility.

How do I know this? I was a victim myself last November of a similar bunch of thieves and parted with £99.99 but luckily managed to cancel the payment in time.  Incidentally, the amount reflects the fact that credit card firms sit up and take notice of any payment of £100+.

I have just been phoned by this number. The phone went blank when I picked up the receiver. Can one block this number? I suspect that I have been called three times today.

Call received from this number at 19.50 today.  Claimed to be Energy Grant Advisors.  I was in the mood to ask them a few details.  They said they were based in Leamington Spa.  I had quite a fun chat with her, then told her that I was on the TPS, and asked her to add me to her Do Not Call list.  I've now blocked the number.

As number is not a recognised number it was bared by answer machine
These prats have constantly called on a regular basis and do seem to accept I do not want any energy saving from these as he local council provide a FREE service and no plushly sales just advice.

These lot can boil he selves in acid but then a waste of acid!

Who ever it was called twice. Have no idea and they did not leave a message. Such an odd number

Multiple calls over the last few days. As it appears ti be a rubbish number I do not bother to answer. May do so if they call again and I want to waster my time just to find out what it relates to. As I have also had a spate of calls from "pc security" recently, I suspect that it is them in a different guise.

Just had a call from this number and was asked was I single because I sounded beautiful. What gives them the right to call me with this s**t in the middle of my busy day??!!
