One of these letters has arrived at my father's home
addresed to my mother.
My mother  passed away in May 2008 and it has really upset my dad.
How do I get it stopped.

I have been receiving these letters now for almost 2 years with yet another number  09066 659769

my wife keeps getting these letters from county awards pobox 78 rooss-on-wye
todate she has received some 10 letters over the last 18 months and keeps saying i should let her phone them just incase they are genuine. she is 73yrs old and we both only have our old age pensions. today she received 2 more letters that this is the final chance or somebody else will reseice her award which could be 25,000 pounds. i have so far convinced her to let me shred them, but am worried that she might fall the next one behind my back hoping she just might be right and win the big prize.

I recieved one of these letters for the first time today, i am so glad i googled it and saw all these messages, the phone number on mine is 09066 659835 the address is po box 107ross-on-wye HR9 9YP.

I had an envelope telling me I had won a prize & I could either ring 09066 659820 to listen for my allocation code (cost £9) or write sending a sae to a Po Box 29 HR9 9WZ.
No name of company on letter.  I had filled in an online survey so I thought it was something to do with that to begin with.  
Isn't an 090 number from India?

got the same letter...tel 09066659885..address : P O Box 29 same post code...to be honest i nearly called the number...These people must think we are idiots..i know with current economic climate cash is tight  but boy.....we all should all take a stand and report them...i mean they have our personal info...wonder who else has it

I am so glad I googled this today. I receieved my letter in the post yesterday, with the same address and phone number as people have posted on this site.
Obviously it is a hoax and its aim is to trick the guillable and vunerable into a false sense of security.
Avoid at all costs and throw the letter in the bin.

I have just started recieving simular mail from a company 'Unclaimed Prize register PO Box 107, Ross-On-Wye' telephone number 09066 659944.  Not going to phone it as is prob just another scam.

We keep getting them from a "Notification Bureau" of the same address. Asking us to confirm our address etc..... Why ? They knew where to post the crap in the first place ! SCAM !

My wife has had 2 letters (in her maiden name...alarm bells ring straight away) from 'Notification Bureau' (address po box 78 ross on wye) claiming she had won a prize! We knew it was rubbish but decided to google it anyway, good to see people checking. new telephone number 09061 564894 also using text service now.

I sent off 2 x sae & have been told I have a digital camera,just need to send £6.50! & a 7 day holiday in Tunisia(probably time share sales when there).Shame I have shreaded the original claim forms! lol

I only sent the sae just to see what would happen,only7 cost a couple of stamps,not the £9 phone calls.

I,ve just received the same details as Steph,a digital camera with request for £6.50 which I can now forward to Trading Standards Officer for them to follow up.All be aware of the scams

Just received my 4th letter, fraid I did ring the first time which was about a year ago, I was vulnerable as it was around the first anniversary of my husband's sudden death.  I got a claim number, sent off the form etc - the prize then was for a digital camera which never came !!  then I got a reminder, then a final reminder, both of which I ignored, with a closing date of sometime in August.  Then today I got another letter, incidentally on different headed paper, this has a coloured logo at the top, and the po box is no 63 (they must have a lot of boxes )  glad I googled.  The letter even says that if I decide I don't want my prize I have to inform them so they can release it.  Interestingly, the second letter did not have any digital cameras on it, the third letter had a holiday to Tunisia, and today's letter showed the holiday to be to Swiss/Austria -  Thanks for all the posts here.  

These letters are niggling and upsetting, but destined straight for shredder from now on.

BEWARE i have had a letter today about unclaimed prizes, the company is called The Brtish Awards Council.............their address is PO Bx 29, Ross-On Wye, HR9 9WZ and there phone number is 09061580134 this must be the same people, what a bunch of ********, i alos keep getting phone calls from someone who does not leave a message may be them

I had received a letter stating that I have won a prize and asked me to call the 09066659941       number.
Next month I received my phone bill and found out that the call was a PREMIUM RATE SERVICES and costed my pocket : £10.18. The call lasted for 7 minutes. I reckon , I had received a call for some telephone survey where they asked me to answer few queries and said, you may win a prize.

I sent the letter back with my claim code and received a letter with the picture of a digital camera which wasnt too impressive when i checked the specs.It asked me to pay 6.50 through cheque.

Hence request everyone who is reading this blog - DO NOT TRY THIS.
