Silent call from this number, said hello - no answer so hung up.  Now in my blocked calls list.

had a call 24-01-2011 .. a lady called Karen after a few seconds .. I think it is a scam ..claimed to be solving a Microsoft critical error on an application .. I doubt it !!. Told her I had no problems so with that she said okay and conversation ended. At first I got the impression that she wanted me to do something on the computer .. a link perhaps. Be warned!!

Had an unsolicited call from 09141401414 today (sounded indian/pakistani ..  very poor english) said from a  PC company re computer problems. I said I had no problems and he said ok and rang off. Obviously a scam.

I've had the same thing happen to my mother. They called saying there was a critical error on the system. she hung up on him. He then called back when I was there and told me he was from a company called BT masters (who ever they are). He said there was a very bad problem with her pc, so I asked him what it was. He said I had to go on the internet so he could show me. When I told him that I only built the computer last month and installed the operating system myself and that the computer was working perfectly he didn't know what to say so I asked him what operating system she had installed he just said "windows". He didn't know what version. If the computer was reporting errors he should know what version of windows we were running. I just hung up.

Phone rang 1st feb 2011 (yesterday) when the answer machine kicked in they hung up. Any friend or decent company would leave a message.

Ive been rung by these people, and a very faint line, couldnt tell what the person was saying, I didnt answer, so they hung up, then rang again this morning, but they are just nuisance calls, best to ignore them, pity some people havent got something better to do.

It's a scam. Caller will inform you of a problem on your PC. They will then try to flog you Anti-Virus software and access your system. String them along with mock suprise to engage their interest and cut them off at your leisure when you get bored.

I had a call from these people from what sounded like a call centre in the Indian sub continent.  

I told them I was a bit dubious about their validity.  I asked them what system I was running and they swerved my question by quoting my name and address.  

That's a bit worrying.

2 calls in 2 days 1st call a machine said goodbye 2nd call nothing this number is now blocked

Mum had the same problem at 87 years young she does not have a pc, the ?####? who called I spoke to I just happen to be there visiting so I told this ####### person called Peter from you know where and said just a moment I will put you on hold selected a song on my mobile The Who's Who are you and repeated it for about 15 mins checked the line and it was dead

Keep them hanging on the line and waist there time!!!!!!

Seems they are still using this number in Calling Number Id. Just had a call which I let fall through to answerphone - no message left.

Same just happened but they asked for someone with a mixture of my wife's & my name.
WHere do they get the details from??

Has rang every day for 3 weeks at least 3-4 times daily. When you answer the phone there is a pause of approximately 10 seconds and an automated voice says "Goodbye". They never speak!
I work night shifts so you can imagine how disruptive this is. How can this be legal?

Same as another person - no-one spoke for a short time then a voice said "bye

work nights also would luv to get my hands on them or at least there home number would be fun calling every half hour while at work

Missed the call did the 1471 told by recording there was a kinetic problem on the line this message was only deleted  when i called my own nbumber on my mobile  can somebody find a sure way to stop all these calls

Had a similar 'phone call today from what seemed to be Indian Sub-Continent. Told me I had a critical error on my computer which needed immediate attention. As we have several computers in the family I asked him which one had the fault. He couldn't say, just asked what makes of computer we had. I asked him how he knew I had a fault, he said every computer reports when it has a fault and reports it. Thougt it was a scam at the start and his replies confirmed it.

09141401414 keep calling over the last two days i answer and the other end is silent!!!!

This man called me and wanted me to download a software where he will take over my computer. I did not do as he asked and he became angry. I told him that he is a fraud and told him to get of my phone. He did not tell me which company is was calling from.

I would like to report this and please do some thing about it because some people may not be so luckly.

this number called my landline on 23rd feb .
just becoming a nuisance all these scam calls.
if i know some-one is not going to answer within two seconds i hang up the phone.

it seems very suspicious that some of these calls come from indian continent.
