I do have caller display, but next time it rings if I am in I am going to answer it so I can find out who it is!!

Just had a call, answered it, they wanted the home owner, told her I wasn't, then asked if I was renting the property, told her I was a visitor and she hung up, she didn't speak very good English!

i tried to call it back and it says number not recognized

The phone rang twice I did not answer as, was busy and thought I will do 1471 and pick up the number. I too received the number 091496 ?  No idea who has such a number as there appears to be some digits missing.  On that note I would say do not return or answer this number should you see it on caller display.

Thanks all, that explains it then, as I did get a quote from a co for home insulation recently they have obviously passed on my details despite promising not to do so!

Just had a call from this number,goverment department calling about loft insulation. Smoeone will call me Wednesday to arange a time to do a survay and see if I qualify for a grant up to 80% of the cost.

they have phoned me a number of times,this week ,i just put the phone down as they do not speak very good english

Keeps calling =- leaves no message bur screws up my answer machine that I access remotely !!!!

Call at 13:05 today. I had to get up to go to the phone and answered it because I was intrigued by the number but they'd rung off - presumably because the ansaphone had kicked in.  Very irritating because it interrupts without good reason.

We have just had this number call us at 18:22 today as well,intreaged by the short telephone number on the call ID display though!

I had a call from this number yesterday afternoon.  It went dead when I answered so I rang 1471 and got 091496. I have no idea who it is and I am supposed to be on a no cold call preference service which is obviously not working!!

No idea who this is but the 1471 service indicates that the number is 091496 and option 3 (to return the call) reveals that the number is not recognised. Very odd!

Just had a call from this strange little number too. Don't answer it is it appears that my cordless phone has disconected its self from the base (?) could be a coincidence, or not.

got call today from  091496, after dialling 1471.  Can we find their proper number so we can annoy them, or better still get the powers that be to stop them calling. We're on telephone preference service and we're still getting several calls a week from these people.
