Hi all,
I had calls from these guys today too (Good Friday). First call was about 3pm and as soon as the lady on the other end said she was from Lifestyle and 'conducting a survey on behalf of major brands' I told her I wasnt interested. She persisted, I told her I was hanging up, and did so. About 5 mins ago (just before 6pm) they called again, but I missed the call.
They seem to be getting names/ numbers from somewhere, I too am with TPS, so these are somehow slipping through the net.
My plan is to enjoy being really abusive to them next time they call, I hope its tonight!

I just had a call from this number. I said "Hello", and the call dropped. 1471 gave me the number 09432711557.

My phone number is 01709...... and I am registered with TPS.

Just had another one. Same as the last. Duh. 18:19 05/04/10

our 15yr old boy answered the phone at 6pm tonight , the caller asked if myself or his mum were in & he said no , the caller then asked how old he was & if he had a girlfriend to which the caller was told no , the next question was have you got a boyfriend to which he was told no as he was a boy  . the caller then said ok he was coming round to see him , this caused great distress . let me no if you can get a name etc for the sick prats as a visit can be arranged & a few broken might stop them doing it again

just left a message with tps to complain, i've had enough, talk about pushy marketing.  Its bank holiday and i have a house full of family, yet they still insist on trying to do marketing on me.  

furthermore i get home from work and there is on average four missed calls from them.  ~I went on a conference and got back to 7 missed calls.  Today at 4pm i said sorry busy and i dont want to take part, at 8pm they tried again.

Am working on getting their number blocked and will be reporting them to ICO through work.  I cannot find lifestyle marketing online at all.

Call from this number at just after 7pm.

No one at the end of the line... Suspicious about an 09 number so did not ring back.

Will notify ico as other post suggests.

Let's hope we can stop these nutters

had call from same number tonight at 8.50pm

Received a call from this number today although I wasnt in to receive it, tried to call it back and it said number unknown.  I am also registered for TPS, so best be ready for a flee in their ear if anyone is every there that is!!

I recieved a call from this number a minute a go, didn't answer as I had time to see this before it rang off.

My elderly father kept getting silent calls which really worried him so we invested in a call screening device - see Truecall.co.uk,  which has greatly reassured him. I manage it on his behalf remotely via an on line account but it is quite easy to operate. Your mother might be interested in it.

This number called today but was blocked.

1st call from them tonight - didn't recognise the number so didn't answer.  Thanks for the above guys - I'll just ignore it the future and report them to the TPS - thanks Mark for the hyperlink!

More or less the same. I've had this number calling for the past few days, but always let the answer machine pick up unrecognised number. Of course, they don't leave a message!

Attempted to get me on five occasions over a two week period. It must be an autodialler handler, because it failed to get passed the Truecall breakthrough key request on every occasion (press a specified key to prove you are human and not computer).  Number now blocked so they can try as many times as they want, it's their own time they're wasting.

Best £80 ever spent was my Truecall unit. 9 months and many attempts....but not one unwanted call has made it through to my phone.

Called @ 11:07. Didn't pick up but 1471 gave 09432711557

another unwanted call. very faint voice. sounded like an american accent.

I received a call from this number today, Wednesday 28 April 2010, at around 1600.
I didn't answer it.

This number just called me - when I answered the phone there was a silent pause of about 2 seconds and then the line went dead.  At the moment I am getting a LOT of silent calls from a lot of different places - most of them apparently from India.  I am on TPS but it makes no difference to anything.

Called four times in three days. Phone now once again disconnected.

Its making my 78 year old mother suicidal as she has a mental health problem and thinks someones after her. The sooner this is stopped the better. What a bunch of parasites. Indian Accent.
