someone called from this number today, I don't care who it is or what they want, I just want the f**kers to STOP!!!!!

Since these are silent callers, we need to start doing "silent answering".  I now have caller id and whenever I have a weird number come up I just answer the phone (without saying anything), put it on speakerphone, and leave it.  I had this number ring up before and give me the silent treatment, and just now, they rang and I gave *them* the silent treatment.  There was actually someone there this time going "hello? hello?".

Until the government decides to tighten up the law, we should all turn the tables on these idiots.

call from this no toda about 11.50 am, no one at other end, get at least 5 calls a day liek this, surveys, automated calls askin if i want to consolidate debts etc,, wish they would stop, might consider getting phone no changed, been happening since i moved into new house 3 month ago

Had many silent calls from this number over the last few days.  Irritating, but no way I'll phone back.  I'll try the silent treatment next time.

get calls from here and no one there

I get calls from this number on a practically daily basis at different times of the day. When I answer there is usually 15-20 seconds of silence followed by an unavailable tone

I have had this number call me a few times in the last two weeks. No-one is at the end of the line and I have just put the phone down after saying hello a couple of times. After reading some of the comments below I do believe this is a survey company called 'Lifestyle' as they used to call me about twice a week and in the end I was a bit rude and just said that I had had enough and I was not interested in speaking with them.

It would make sense then that this is them just trying to harrass me which has made me rather mad as we cannot do anything about them. Maybe if enough people contact TPS they could do something about it.

Do not give them the satisfaction of dialling 1471 and returning the call.

had a guy with an indian accent asking for my partner, told him he had the wrong number as i am fed up of the calls! The guy then aksed if i was the owner of the number and again i said he had the wrong number and i asked him to take my details out of his dialler. He asked if i was registered with the TPS and i didn't answer, i just told asked more forcefully this time to remove my number and stop calling me. He said he couldn't do this, said bye and hung up!!!
Complete idiots! I do receive several calls a day from the moment i get in from work, they are very persistant yet i tell them i'm not interested, they then start getting rude. They need to be stopped harrassing people!

Got a silent call from this number today. These posts are great, and it's clear now they are spam. The best way to handle these is to annoy them as much as they annoy you. Either give them the silent treatment back, or the complete opposite  - if you have a personal alarm device give their eardrums a blast.

Been getting calls off this number, when I try dialling it back it is not recognized. Only happened since I moved just recently. I am with tps, do I have to register again seeeing I have the same number but different address?

We get this number calling loads of times and as other people have done have tried to ring it back but number is not recognised. Doesnt make sense and our fear is that somehow we are gonna get charged when our bill comes in

Had a call last night from 09432711557,luckly daughter was using the phone at the time. Did 1571 for 2 mins of silence. Their bill not mine. Ofcom really do need to find out who this is.

Just had a call form these people.  Spoke to a woman with an asian accent.  She assured me she wasn't going to try to sell me something - just wanted to do a survey commisioned by leading brands and that if I did the survey I would receive special offers from these brands that would save me money.  I politely refused saying I did not want to be contacted and she promptly hung up.  I have spoken to these people several times over the last couple of months and they are always very rude and hang up if you stand your ground.  I have also asked them to remove my details from their database, but they are still calling.  Have reported them to TPS.

a lady called asking to speak to my ex wife we split up 2 years ago and i have changed my telephone number since. How do people get hold of these numbers? I asked her what it was about and she hung up. I  dialled 1471 the the number above was given i tried calling back as i thought it might be somebody after her for bad debt, when i dialled the number it was not recognised how strange? how rude!. Get this number barred.

I just answered the phone to this number. Customer researchers..On ten minutes and just put phone down in the end. Awful woman on the end. Every time I said no to a question, she said "shall I just put yes" Aaaah ! don't waste your time by answering this call !!

I have just had a call from this number - same as everyone else - silence and then hang up.  Surely there must be SOMETHING that can be done.  Any suggestions?

No idea who this is but they rang me sometime today. As it's an 09 number, don't ring back - almost certainly a premium rate number / scam which will cost YOU money & inconvenience. If you have caller display, better to save this number as "IGNORE" or similar, if you are able to do so, and you'll know what to do next time they ring!
