been charged lots of money for this number from my landline number. any idea who it is?

I had this number appear on my landline phone bill on Fri 26 Jun at 00:56. I called my phone company (Virgin Media)and they've credited the money back to my account.

I suspect this is one of those 'silent' call scams.

Your phone company should refund any charges and you can get the number blocked.

I have just had my bill in and they this number has appeared on my bill for 19 October @ 3:01am duration 6.06 mins and they have charge me £9.70...

Who/what company is this as there is no way I would have accept this call.

I have one for when i was away duration 31.16 cost £45.37 How can these companys charge when it would have been my answering service that picked up.  B.T are refusing to refund my monies totalling £62.81

do not accept any calls from this number 09829303333 as it charges you a fortune - fraud !!!!

I'm not aware of having ever received any call from 09829 303333 - let alone making a call to that number - but I have been charged over £23 for a call to it on my latest BT bill.
So I'm going to complain to BT'spremium rate service number - 0800 500 2121 - but guess what they're open only Mon-Fri 8-6

Fraud can and does take place involving premium rate calls being wrongly charged to people. In the above case, hundreds of people in Exeter were hit.

Also google your number to see if other people are reporting this. Ask your neighbours and if you are convinced that noone in your house made this call, report to the Police. The issue in Exeter came to light with the help of the Police.

You can check the owner of the number on the PhonePayPlus website (It is an adult content line owned by Live Lines UK Ltd)

You need to get BT to block premium rate numbers. Best of luck getting a refund.

I think he has sneeked down stairs & phoned the naked ladys on the TV .....he defenetly was not sleeping if u think different you are totally wrong lol

This number rang me twice within 10 minutes it is a fraud call. Virgin were vey helpful and credited all monies. No callerID...............Everyone watch out!!!!

My landline number is showing 14 calls to this ...3333 number at a cost of £181.15. All these calls are between 23.35 and 02.42. Everyone was in bed and no one made these calls. I am a female Pensioner and hardly likely to make thes calls. So far BT has referred to me another site for 09 numbers to make complaint. I can't pay this bill. I don't know what I am going to do

got a call on my landline with number on it, ive never phoned it didnt know what it was but it cost me£29.81, the call was at 12.25 7th november.

just checked my sky talk bill and found £80 of call to this number between 19.30 & 20.00 Hrs on 3 consecutive days nobody made these calls and sky is looking into it.

Is it possible crooks are placing these calls on your lines from roadside cabinets for example?

Last year customers around the Exeter area were hit.  They did it to get a share of the revenue from the premium rate phone charges.

what area of the UK are you people.

I had this number appear on my landline phone bill too at 03:00 o'clock. £16 . called BT they disagree to refund money. Telling you the BT is the worsest of the worsest company!!!
