[1] My hearing problem combined with his thick accent led me to ask several times to repeat the "schpiel". [2] The only thing I understood was that he was calling from "...AT&T". [3] Asked to speak to the name that is listed in the white pages / directory (not the actual account holder - which is my clue that it's not a legitimate call). [4] When I put on a greatly exaggerated performance announcing that the intended vict...I mean customer.. is dead - the first thing out of his mouth was to ask if I was the person who pays the phone bill.
I knew the call was a scam and that the phone number wasn't valid. I did some research of the numbers listed where an actual name should have been, I learned that "758" is an area code that was created when the original "809" area code was split in 1996. Country of origin: Saint Lucia. However, "809" is also the area code for the Dominican Republic. Either way - my telephone provider would not be calling me from outside the U.S. - Sparklebugs replies to scammersBwareSame
- EriicI received a call from this number I answered it and no one spoke
- AnonymousI've Hiya app installed on my mobile phone. When I enter this phone number there are a lot of people leaving comments and report it's a Scam. I do suggest everyone add the phone number to your contact and enter for contact name what I do is Flagged As Scam or Scam and than click on Block Contact. I do recommend download and install the Hiya app on your mobile device it's a excellent call blocking apps. It's not a good idea to answer phone calls from phone numbers you don't recognize there's too many people being scam. If you answer than they will know your phone number is a active working number. Always block the calls and ignore the calls.
- Caller: Scam
- Saguaro987I have been calls from 1-000-000-0321 off and on for the past three months. I never answer the phone, but today I answered the call and the person on the other end asked if this was Robert. I answered "this is Robert" and they hung up. There was lots of back ground talking by people using phones talking to other people. I wish the feds would do something about these calls, I am guessing that it is some type of scam and maybe I did the wrong thing identifying myself.
