1002

I've gotten 1 call so far a few days ago. Guy with a middle eastern accent. Could BARELY make out what he said. Said he was for financial aid and scholarships. He knew he was calling my cell phone. Claimed he got my phone number from a website, but wouldn't tell me what website, that someone in my family signed me up for it. Kept asking for the website, he questioned me over it, I said I had every right to know what website is giving out my personal information. Gives me an attitude over it so I ask to speak to a supervisor. Says there's no supervisor so I ask for the phone number to reach the supervisor. I'm asked why and I told him I wanted his supervisor to be aware of his rudeness and withholding answers to my questions. He refused giving the excuse it would be costing me money to call the supervisor and plus I was the one being rude. I ask for the number again. He yelled some stuff (no profanities) and hung up on me.

I'm on a Do Not Call list for my cell phone, my phone number is not on facebook, Walmart does not have that kind of information from me, and my name is not on my voicemail message. That might narrow it down for some of yous.

received a call from this number. guy with indian accent asked for someone but i told him he had the wrong number. said the number was right but name was wrong. went on about some financial aid and scholarship advising. told him i already have a masters and im not interested. he asked if i was married told him it was irrelevant and to remove me from the list. he told to shut up and hang up then. i held the line for a few seconds and so did i. it caught me by surprise. next time someone calls anyone from this number answer in a rant and tell them to pluck off.

Like so many other people, I had a bad experience with with American Intercontinental University, and among the numerous reports and complaints that I have read about AIU Online, some have even mentioned that they sell people's name and numbers to spammers and whoever. Now I'm starting to believe this is true. Earlier today at 5:43 pm, I received a phone call from 002, some spanish woman (I think) speaking her pidgeon-english telling me about something that I requested some more information on. I didn't ask for any such thing and couldn't understand hardly anything that she said so I told her not to call me again and hung up. Then at 7:23 pm that same day I received a phone call from 1002, this time a man (again speaking in pidgeon-english) telling me about something that I had wanted some more information on. This time I asked him how he got my name and number, couldn't understand him either but I told him not to call me again and hung up. My number is also on the Do-Not-Call list but what good does it do when we still get so many calls from con-artists like this? Something has to be done to stop it!

This 1002 has called my cell phone @ least 3-4x a day for about a week now, at first I wasnt able to answer it by the time they hung up (must be the two rings I am seeing everyone else talking about) but have twice picked up the call in time, first time they asked for my boyfriend and i accidently dropped the phone when handing it to him and lost the call, and today I answered and they asked for him again, I said "This isnt his phone, I am his ex, and I want to be removed from this calling list". He rudely said 'If this isnt his number why did he give it out as being his?" I answered "Thats a good question, who EXACTLY are you anyways, ill pass it along", and he said Johnny from Education (Inaudible) paused for a moment, someone in the background on his end started yelling then he hung up... Getting pretty pissed and judging from earlier posts and what they have said to others I no longer have a problem with screaming into the phone the next time they call... I mean full out shrieking.. "Yes I am (insert name), oh of COURSE I would be interested in hearing about....... AAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH" Wanna keep calling ill keep blowing out your eardrums [***].... :)

P.S. I do have a facebook, but my number isnt visible to anyone, and any other info is only available to friends, whom I personally know every one of... I did once fill out a game points earning survey about 3 months ago, but seeing as how they are asking for my bf he mustve put the number in someplace and doesnt have any idea what it couldve been.. Although he did purchase a guitar from American Musical Supply and give them my number about 2 months ago.. Who knows...

They called me 6 times in the last 24 hours. They called and first pulled me in with talk about financial aid. They asked me if I was a citizen with a GED/high scool dimploma. I then told them I didn't want their free services and then they switched to "how about health care." I'm EXTREMELY aggrivated.

I have gotten calls from this no. no one ever answers when I pick up, don't know who or where the call is coming from. I suspect it is a scam.F

I've received calls from both the ethnic sounding man and woman claiming to be from "College Search" and addressing me by my name. The first call, I listened patiently to the man and then calmly told him I wasn't interested because I was already in college and was not planning on leaving it since I liked it. He told me, "Then go to hell" and hung up. It was extremely rude especially after how I had handled the situation. When the lady called I just asked her to please remove me from the list and she hung up on me.

I'm seriously fed up with all the calls from these people. Please help me block them!
I can't believe someone would call me and tell me to go to hell because I wasn't interested in their service.

WTF IF THIS NUMBER CALLS AGAIN WE SHOULD ALL REPORT IT. THEY CAN 1002 THEM SELFS UP THEIER OWN AZZ!!! I dont care where they got my number. they can forget it immidaty! in fact im going to report them every single time they call!

Wtf! Any telemarketer out there read this: "Remove me permanently forever! Or whoever this number belongs to! It is not right they can call me with just 4 numbers but I can't call them bk! Wtf! You idiots no one wants to listen to your bs about anything! Find a real job!"

Indian Woman with about 500 Indian people in the background. Asked for somebody, I asked what this was in reference to and she quickly hung up.

What list am I on to get all these calls???

I have been receiving calls from 1002 for three weeks now and would like you to investigate the caller.  Unfortunately, I cannot return their call b/cause it isn't a real number. Please stop them immediately!

hey, i got a call from +1002 a couple of times and i answered it once. This guy with an indian accent told me that "Scott" from "People Search" was searching my number! Wtf iz Scott!!! Plz would someone report them!!! >=O

Just got a call from 1002. I didn't answer.

Next time they call, pick up the phone and blast an airhorn....you know, the kind that looks like a can with the horn on the end, or if you don't have one of those, blow a whistle as loudly as you can. After two or three times of that, they WILL NOT call again. :)

Just got my first 2 calls from +1002 this morning.  Had already read here about it so I told him he "could not speak to me, I had already read about and reported this number, and stop calling my #, thank you".  Crossing my fingers that it stops.  Anyone else have any luck with the calls stopping?

They have called me 3 times today.  11:37 AM, 12:44P and 2:56P.  This is rediculious.  he was talking to me about school as well (from previous posters)... I really don't understand because my number is private.  I think I am going to get a whistle and blow it really loud in the phone.  Anyone know how to report this number?

There must be some company/agency that is able to help with this.  I refuse to answer at anytime.
They have called me 6 times today and it's only 3:45pm.....  will be contacing someone with Verizon and anyone else I have to call or write.   Any ideas or help from anyone else.   I will re-post if I get anywhere.
