I received a call today from phone number 106 today. It was a fuzzy automated female voice stating my Wells Fargo Account was closed. Then it asked for my Account Number. I hung up. Checked my account online and by phone and it was fine.

I haven't been on Craigslist for years, so I know that wasn't it.
If you get a call from return number 106, don't answer or HANG UP!

Yep, I had a Craigslist page open on my phone. Might be a connection. Anyway, I didn't answer because the idea of 3 digit # calling creeped me out and it was 1:30am. No thanks!

I just received the call from 106. It just woke me up from a sound sleep. It said my account from Bank Of America had been locked to press one. I thought it would get me to their customer service since I do not have an account with them. It just asks for your account number so I hung up and BLOCKED.

I just got same call about bank of America account, whom I don't have an account with.

#106 called saying my BofA account was locked and to press 1 for...I didn't catch the rest since I hung up.

I received a call from 000 last month picked up heard nothing blocked then this week had a call from 106 didn't answer blocked also

Myself and many of my coworkers received 106 calls today. They stated my account was frozen same as everyone else. They are obviously trying to get banking information to hack accounts

I got a call from 106 this afternoon.  I did not answer it, especially since I did not recognize it and recently I was the victim of a romance scam from someone in Malaysia (I thought maybe he had found a way to call after I blocked him).  Since tangling with this guy, so far I've had this call and two e-mails saying I've got money coming to me, what is my bank info.  Yeah right.  

Just got the same call, only I didnt answer it! Had to Google it, figures it was some stupid scam! Thanks for the info everyone!

Just got a call at 11:45pm stating my Master Card was frozen and to press 1 for assistance.  I hung up.

Just got a call from a 106#. It was an automated service saying my master card has been locked. It then asked me to enter my acct #. I just kept hitting # thinking I would get some type of operator but no. I tried calling it back and it says it's no longer an active #. Decided to google it and what do ya know, older posts ppl saying their "net" something was disconnected but it seems these scammers have moved on recently to Wells Fargo and now MasterCard.

106 - Mastercard has been locked...please press 1 to connect to 24 service

Just got a call from 106. Ignored and the voicemail said my visa MasterCard account has been locked. Glad I didn't answer!

Got a call from 106 saying MasterCard was frozen and to press 1. Hung up.

Call from "106" said my MasterCard was frozen press 1 for security center.

Got the 106 call. Press one for Master Card Security Services because your card has been locked. Amazing! I don't have Master Card! They ask for your CC#, Social, pin, etc. Total scam! I plugged in a bunch of fake info to see if would be connected to a real person. At the end of the call, the creepy digitized woman informs you that your card has been unlocked.

Thanks God I searched the 106 thingy and got me here... It was just creepy to get a phone call from that number. I didn't answer it. Thanks for the info!!

I just received a phone call on my Verizon smart phone from 106.  I did not answer it.  When I called IT it says "Welcome to Verizon Wireless.  Your call cannot be completed as dialed. Please check the number and try again.  Announcement for Switch222dash1"
