To date, I have received two '106' calls within the last two days, which I did not answer and no message was left.  Obviously, this is a scam call which I checked on this website today to confirm.

Received call on my cell while driving. Didn't press 1.

just received a call from 106. stated B of A account frozen. I hung up..but damn it.. just left working at telephone company, where I could pull up call records from the switch and see the true number its originating from. yes the real numbers are shown, but communications law has to show which caller ID was used. these numbers are retainable only through local law enforcement or requested in a court case..I think I'll get a friend who still works there to look this up for me

^ Bob, it seems many people have been bothered by this spammer enough that some sort of action needs to be taken. It's not much comfort simply not answering. The operation needs to be shut down. Not sure who to contact about that but you may be more successful with your attempts to figure out where it's coming from. Please post if you find anything out! Just got a call at 2:48am! Ought to be something we can do to end this!!

Got a call at 4 am from this number. Didn't answer

Got a call from 106 saying my Bank of America acct had been frozen I hung up & did not press 1, I never had B of A acct

The call from 106 came at 7:11AM, est, on 1/23/15, for the first time, on my cell phone.  It is now blocked.  I didn't answer; I never answer unrecognized calls and I can say I'm glad considering the nature of the call reported, here.  However, even had I answered, I wouldn't have fallen for this type of scam.  Number is blocked, now!

Something regarding "data base".

I just received a call from this number. I have friends overseas so I thought it might be them. I answered it and I heard buttons being pushed like a transfer. I hung up and they called back. I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.

Just called me too!

I just received a call at 12:52 am. I didn't pick it up because I have never seen the number 106 pop up on my call list. It's rediculious that they call while people are sleeping but I guess it's a scam technique. Thanks everyone for the info!

I received a phone call from 106 this morning saying my "Bank of America account has been locked," and to "Please press 1."  I don't have a Bank of America account, so eff that.

2nd call in as many days, from 106, a computer generated voice saying my Bank of America account is locked.
I have never had a bank of Crapmerica account, and never will.
But I pressed 1 anyway.   The same Robot voice wanted me to enter my 16 digit account number, so I put 1234567890987654 and it came back and said it was invalid.  They must have some checks in the system to verify the account numbers before they get you to continue with the scam.
I blocked all calls from 106 now.
But, I never give out this number, I never put it down on forms or applications.  The only way I can think they got it, and the timing is about right, was my daughter put my personal number down on a Neilson Rating Survey, and ever since I have been getting bombed with 3 or 4 spam calls a day.   Neilson has been calling me several times a day as well, even though I have told the explicitly to remove my number from their system.   I believe that sold it!

Answered the 106 call out of curiosity. I saw this same # was a missed call weeks ago. Once I picked up the call the robo female voice said something about Bank of America and to press 1 for security. I pressed 1 and immediately hung up realizing the mistake I made. Two hours later a text came through asking me to please take 5 minutes and contact us! Call at 6108372726.SMS from: BANK_OF AMERICA DEBIT_Thank you very much!!_sert3543vcyvty87, this was sent by email to my phone. I will just ignore it.

Called me at 4am! Saw 106 and thought 'how can this even be a working number?'  I felt like I was in a horror movie. Of course I didn't answer! DONT EVER ANSWER!

not verizon. it's a scam that try's to get bank account and credit card info.
