We started receiving these calls a few months ago.  They seem to cycle a couple of weeks with no calls, and then they call me and my wife within the same 24 hours period.  It is always a man with an obvious east indian accent, and he gives a different ridiculously American sounding name every time he calls.  Today it was Larry Johnson.  Before it has been Dan Smith, Jerry Brown, etc etc.  They are threatening us with some sort of legal action from the United Nations?  They are very aggressive and threatening. I just don't even answer the calls anymore, but I am going to start reporting them to the FCC. Thank you for the phone number.

I have Ooma Phone service with caller ID at home, and it is set to Simultaneously ring my Cell Phone.  Everything worked fine, and correct numbers were showing on my Home and Cell Caller ID's until a couple of weeks ago.  Now, my home phone still shows correct caller ID, but Cell phone is showing the 111-111-1111 for these same calls, even though it used to work and many of these calls are from numbers listed in my Cell Phone contacts. However, if someone calls my Cell Phone number directly, it shows correct caller ID.  My search took me here, so thought I would add my two cents.  Not sure if problem is with home phone forwarding its calls or with my Cell Phone carrier.

I got this one today- It was the City of Columbus Crash Investigation Unit. Legitimate call for me and I spoke to a person about a hit-and-run on my car.

I have a feeling this is just a number used to block the actual caller's information. Possibly government issued but maybe companies use it too.

I know what it is.

it is a automated computer dialing system designed to test all known,(and some unknown) phone numbers. the best way to stop the program is to pick up the phone and wait for it to hang up. i created a program like this once (unfortunatly it only called one number once every 5 hours.) You cannot block the number because it can mask itself onto any number that exsists. you can try to block the IP or MAC address.

Received a call from this 111-111-1111 number this afternoon. I didn't answer it fearing is was a scam # which, indeed it was. Caller did record a message....said they were calling about my credit card which, they said, there was no problem with it, but that they could reduce my interest rate to 6% but I had to press 9 to talk to someone. Needless to say I didn't press ANYthing. I'm am very certain this is a scam call of some sort, but I don't know just what yet.

Keep getting the calls as well from 111-111-1111. I have no clue who this is? Anyone know. I get a few a day. I refuse to answer it.

I have been getting calls from thsi company 3 times/day for about a week now.  No one ever answers, and if I call back it says "invalid number".  Why are they calling and hanging up?  What is the point.  how do you make them stop!!

Getting calls to the business line from this number (11-111-1111) every 2 hours today - no one says anything.  No background noise.  Taking away from business calls.  Leaning toward harassing & VERY annoying when calls keep coming in and no one says anything wasting my time.
