this number called me and knew my address and then said that there was a bomb under my house and that they were from the bomb squad. they have called me at least 2 times a day for the last month. does anyone know who or what this number is?

The caller requested my wife to turn the control of the computer over to him,which she did...,
So far, there has been no sequel. I worry about that request and what they could do to my computer !

Just got a call from this number and after researching pages from googles I'm glad I didn't pick up.

I have been receiving a few calls coming from the number 1-111-111-1111. I usually don't pick up phone numbers I dont reogonize. They never leave a voice mail on my cell phone. The other morning I got one more call coming from that number around 8:00 a.m. I was trying to sleep after having a hard time falling asleep the night before. So when I picked up the phone call. I didnt give the caller a chance to say anything on the other end. I just simply said. Why are you calling me so friggen early in the morning and hung up.

Message left on answering machine from 111-111-1111. Msg was from village advising that Trash Pickup will be delayed for one day because of snow storm in Chicago Area.

I tend to agree with this assumption. I won't be answering that number.

I just recieved a call from the 111-111-1111 number, but being the drama queen I am I suspected foul play lol so needless to say I did not answer the number but googled the number instead glad my momma didnt raise a fool because it seems like someone pulling a scam, DO NOT ANSWER SUCH CALLS!

I had one this number blocked and they just called and got through. So now I am off to mt phone service to find out how a number I blocked got through

Sounds like the ocean with an recording saying something along the lines of  "This is your captain calling to inform you that you have been chosen as our winner of two boarding passes to the Grand Bahamas. In order to recieve your prize, please participate in a simple survey." Then it switched over to an automated survey about which charities are more deserving of support. Then  it switched over to a young woman who asked for some very simple info - name and phone number. She then asked for a donation of $20 for Trips for Tots. I told her that I wasn't comfortable giving out Credit Card info over the phone. She was very kind and said that she understood. She proceeded to tell me about how they help the children... So I asked if she could mail some more information or if there was a web address where I could read more about her cause...... the phone IMMEDIATELY when dead.

I too have been receiving calls from this number, among others searching for someone unkown to me. for about 2 months now.  I hear a FAX type sound the one time I answered.

i see 129 everywhere.. my birth date is Jan 29 (129)... i even have witnesses to this and its not just clocks - serial numbers, lotto tickets, receipts, even the change date on my Brita water filter... oh yeah the 1-111-111-1111 just started calling me tonight, 2 unanswered no messages, the last left a noise free hang up like a button disconnect...

I just now got this call and it was some Arabic guy saying I was selected to get a grant from the government for $7,000 and asked if I knew why and I said no and they hung up.. The strangest thing...

Fake Debt Collectors Terrify Consumers
Alleged Debt Scam Calls Threaten Consumers: 'Only God Can Help You Now'

It's a debt collection scam. And all their threats are false and illegal.

This is a very active group of scammers, many of whom are calling from India (and probably other countries) and are in cahoots with a group of American pay day loan scammers. They attempt to extort money from consumers with a myriad of false and illegal threats, and alternately pose as debt collectors, federal and state law enforcement officers, lawyers and bankers. Their trademark is to use meaningless legalese gobblygook phrases like "We are downloading warrants against you" or "We are filing an affidavit against you." Another trademark phrase is to threaten the consumer with something like this ridiculous phrase: "If you don't pay then only God can help you."

Typical of many financial scams of this variety, they usually demand payment via Western Union or MoneyGram or credit card. They use any number of phony names such as US National Bank, Federal Investigation Bureau, US Legal Investigation Bureau, Hopkins Law Office, United Legal Processing, Morgan Associates, United Pay Services, National Processing, White Collar Crime Unit and many more.  These criminals also use many phone numbers from many area codes; they're probably using caller-id spoofing software and/or VoIP to disguise their real location.

The main thing to remember is that anytime someone calls you demanding money to prevent your arrest, or demanding your lawyer's name so they can sue you, it is ALWAYS a scam. No debt collector (let alone criminals posing as debt collectors) has the authority to have anyone arrested for anything. (And it's illegal to them to threaten such a thing.) And since these foreign dirtbags routinely impersonate law enforcement, it's also important to remember that American law enforcement officers aren't in the business of debt collection.  (Debt is a civil, not a criminal, matter.)

The bottom line is, these are criminals trying to steal your money. CONTACT THE AUTHORITIES, ALERT YOUR EMPLOYER AND FAMILY MEMBERS, FTC, BANKS, CREDITORS, PUT A FRAUD ALERT ON YOUR CREDIT REPORT, ATTORNEY GENERAL AND FBI!! I DID..MY FAMILY IS OVER 50% LAW ENFORCEMENT AND WE ARE GOING TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS!! THESE ARE A BUNCH OF IGNORANT BROKE A** SCAMMERS AND THEY NEED TO GET BUSTED AND DO TIME HERE IN THE USA SO THAT  THEY CAN LEARN THEIR LESSON!!!! EVERY DOG HAS THEIR DAY AND THEY WILL GET CAUGHT!!!! I had received calls from 111-111-1111 before they are dumb india ppl trying to collect debt money owiing they are losers when they call I send them to voicemail cuz I'm sick of this idiots calling they are waste of my time and to hear harrass me I can't tolerate losers like them they need to stop and hoping real soon they get caught cuz this becomes stressful and  they call to harrass makes my day go bad or I loose my appetite cuz don't don't care what time they call You those we don't need this jerks making our lives hell let's report them ASAP to FCC and FTC and FBI and Etc!

Getting calls from 1-111-111-1111 to my cell phone, landline phone, and Google Voice. Never leaves a message, and when try to call back via cell phone, land line, or Google Voice, get message stating that "number or code you have dialed is not correct" However when I sent a text message to the number I got a message of unable to deliver call to 650-265-1193, which is perhaps a Google company number as the entire 650-265-xxxx is leased by AT&T to someone
