Got a call last week from this number, no voicemail- so I googled it- turns out that companies will pay to hide their phone number.  Got another call this morning- picked it up- it was a hospital w/ which I have an outstanding balance.  Sneaky people-hide their number to hope you will pick up?  When I asked the lady why her number showed up strange on my caller ID she said that she was dialing from a computer and that is the way the numbers show.  I partly believe this as she sounded really far away on the phone, BUT, I think its partly on purpose too.  Maybe that is why their rates are so high?  They have fancy computer dialing systems.  LOL

I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada and this 123-456-7890 has been calling at 8:00 am!  I answer this morning and a women with a strong accent, was trying to tell me there was a problem with my computer.  I yelled at her that I was on the National do not call list and that I was reporting them!  So annoying.

Just got one of these calls.  Checking to see if my computer was working OK.  Did sound like one of the techs from India.  What's with that?????

Dec 23, 2010. I just recieved phone cal from 1123456780 and I answered. (big mistake on my part).  A man with a thick accent said he was from "On-line PC Care" , asked me if I noticed that my computer was slow, and that I may have some viruses on my computer,  He asked me if I was sitting at my computer and to click on the start button in the lower left hand cornter of my computer screen. He then asked me to click on the run button,  then type in "eventvwr" and then OK to run his "program" to fix my computer...
I told him that I could not understand and he hung up (disconnected from me).  Does anyone know what he was trying to do to my computer?

i got this number i was talking 2 someone he said that he works with the miosoft company and ask me what kind of of system in mine computer.i told him i was busy and i ask can i call him back he try not 2 give me his number.but i ask for it and he gave it 2 me when i call it i could not get throught will anywys he did not get anything from me that low life sob.....

Look up Sophos security online to get educated about phishing scams - they are not just online.

Just got a call from them a little bit ago telling me there was problems with my miscrosoft windows, could barely understand thru the accent ... a lot of echo on the line ... when I asked what this was about he just kept asking about my computer, I told him to take me off their calling list & I hung up

I got a call today and they claimed that they were "calling about my computer". I told them my computer was fine, I am not interested and hung up. There is something going on with this number for sure. When I picked up the phone rang and then they picked up. I would not give them any information - beware !

I got a call from this number today at 9:30 am but ignored it. Seems this is quite common. I also live in Canada (Ontario) and love that whenever I Google a phone number it inevitably brings me to 'WhoCallsMe'.

Got a call from this number this morning....a man with a thick accent talking about my computer...could barely understand him.  Then he said "you are using Windows, correct?" before I could think, I answered yes and he hung up.  Made me nervous......wish I had just not answered.

Got one yesterday.They were representing Microsoft and wanted to clean up my computer. I went along with the gag going to "run" then typing in the word "entervrw" until I was directed to hit enter. I said I would never hit enter as asked by anyone over the phone and I was quite happy with my computer. Even gave me a number to call to authenticate their business. instead I reported them to Microsoft.

Just received a call from this number.  A man with a very East Indian accent, wanting to taklk to me about my WSindows "running slow".  When I pressed for a company, he mumbled he was with an I.T, Dep't. of some Company.  Not sure exactly what he wanted, seemed to be a software sale, but could have been fishing for info. or posswords. Told him my Windows are fine and that I have an I.T, person and hung up.

This number called yesterday but without the 1 in front.

This time I just let it ring.  I wish they would just go away.

My mom got a call from this person telloing her it was PC CARE and they need to fix her computer. They asked for a lot of infromation which she did not give and she hung up. Beware everyone please!!!!

I had 2 calls today from this number. I have caller ID and did not answer the phone. I only answer when I recognise the name.

I got this call once a week this month, so the third time I picked up the receiver didn't say anything, hit the star button 7 times and the dial tone came on.   I've heard that this kicks the number out of the computer.   So we'll see if I get a call next week.
