Thank god I found this right after I recevied a call twice from this number.. I never answer calls from odd numbers like that or 800 type numbers.. But I know its a total scam from what Dumbledore, thanks for the warning/tip...

and plus I'm in Calgary,AB so I notice its just withing canada

I got a call today from the number 123-456-7890. I didn't answer because I thought that number was strange. But it was a legitimate call from a nurse wanting to talk to me about some medicine I was taking, so maybe not always a scam.

I received two calls from this number, one while I was out and no message was left, and the second one I answered.   It was someone who said they were calling from Microsoft asking that I do an offline check on my computer to see if there have been any hackers !!!   Are they trying to access my computer ??    I do not trust them, so refused to do the check.

They called me twice today.  Once a female; once a mail.  They say they are calling about my computer and want to know if I have a desktop or laptop.  I hung up.  I live in BC.

just had a call from 123-456-7890   Didn't answer it.  No message left.

Stupid effing scammers have called my home twice today, but I didn't pick up. I'm in the Seattle area, so it's not just happening in Canada.

Received a call also,didn't answer, no message was left. I reside in B.C.

Just got a text from "1234567890"... It says "hey mom it's Sam. I left my phone at ur house and i really need it back! i hope u get this message."

I'm in Edmonton, AB, but I have a Yukon Territory phone number.

This is not Skype  it is some pakistani accent asking about my computer. When informed that my number was on teh national do not call list  he became abusive  Call back four times  and once using a unknown name and unknown number.

The stangest thing... got a call from 1-123-456-7890. I wasn't home but someone spoke with the caller. He asked me by name so I assumed that it was someone who knows me...  He's called numerous times at home and is disrupting my family.  How do I block this number!

I keep getting calls from this number every night. It is very annoying, when I answer theres music playing in the back and no one talking... then they hang up... Its been happening now for a few days.

I got a call from this number too. The man said he was looking for someone that lives with me and then when I said he wasn't home, he wanted to talk to me about Windows. He had a very heavy accent and the phone kept echoing back everything I said. I had noticed the number and thought it was strange. When I told him I could not talk computers as I was cooking dinner (and I thought maybe someone did call about their computers), He offered to call back and then never said a word again.

It was really stupid. Pretty sure it was a scam. I wish I had gone with my gut instinct. :-(

Had two call this morning. They are trying to sell stuff related to programs for computers.As soon as I told them my son was a computer expert they hung up.

They want to fix something with Windows as they are saying they are receiving lots of complaints regarding the program. Lady has a thick accent.Maybe Jamaican.Just a scam.

It's a scam related to Windows for computers.They say they are getting lots of complaints from Windows clients and they want to fix the problem.Lady sounds Jamaican.When I told them my son was a computer expert they hung up.

There was a lot of noise in the background and the caller was mispronouncing my last name so it was obviously someone who did not know me.  I said hello a couple times because my family are in holidays in France, and I thought it might be important.  If it were important, and it were family, they would try again or E-mail me.
