123-456-7890
Report a phone call from 123-456-7890 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- L. replies to GarthThanks for posting this link. I checked it and my experience today was very similar to others who posted. Only differences are that I live in Ontario, Canada and the phone number was displayed as 123-456-7890. I hope no one gets "phished" into this scam.
- ShayI am trying to work on my master's research and received 3 calls, within the span of 5 hours, from 123 456 7890. On the third call, I employed a strategy that I read from another posting; they recommended picking up the phone and pressing the # key several times - which I proceeded to do. I am now waiting to see if that technique is helpful in eliminating future calls.
- Caller: not a hot clue
- Joey replies to Zacki know that number its from a computer i know whos this?
- JanetJust got a call this morning for this number to my home phone number. He knew my name and other information about me. He said his name was Jeff calling from the United States Government Grant Department. He said I was just granted a $7,000 grant and they were wanting to know how I would use this money. I just replied sorry I am not interested. He had a heavy Indian accent.
- Caller: Home
- CatI am thankful for google, i have received so many calls from this # most show up on caller ID. Yesterday I answered the call and it was a man with a heavy accent telling me he was from HP windows program something not to sure and he asked if I was the primary user of the computer, I got suspisious right away and said no, then he asked to speak to the one who is and i just said he wont be here till next week, then he hung up on me RUDE!!! Im going to do the ##### thing next time lol!!
- Caller: HP
- BurtPlease tell your non-computer-literate FRIENDS, PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS, etc.
I am not too techie-savvy, but even I smelt something un-kosher:
Phone rang: 1-123-456-7890 <Unknown Caller>
Caller had a thick Eastern Indian Accent and said his company was calling all Windows’ users.
Yeah, right! LOL
I decided to play with him a bit, but quickly got fed-up.
Caller deceivingly asked me to do the following on my computer, though I knew what would happen with each step:
- Windows Key + R to open up a Run Box
- Type in Run Box: eventvwr (Event Viewer)
- Told me to click on Event Logs listed that had ERRORs
(ERRORs are common in Event Log)
- Told me to hit Windows Key + R and insert his Web Address
- This would start a Remote Access session to allow the Caller to
TAKE OVER MY COMPUTER and do whatever he wanted to do with it!!!
*Obviously do NOT do any of the above or you will have opened your computer to an outsider.*- Caller: 1-123-456-7890
- SusanMy parents have received three calls from 123 456-7890 today. I picked up, nobody answered, there was a ring as if I were being transferred, then the other end hung up. I'm pretty pissed. I'm going to call my parents' provider, but I doubt they'll be able to do anything.
- Caller: Unknown Name
- MJphone twice today once around 2:56 in afternoon and again at 7:42 Who is this that calls and hears you say hello then they hang up. This is rude and why are they calling I don't know this number
Will report to phone Busters and let police know about the calls - RenzoA fellow I know received a phone call yesterday morning from a guy with an East Indian accent identifying himself as Jason Smith working for “Online PC Care” with an employee ID#1574. He provided an email address of enquiry @ onlinepccare . com with the phone # 123 456 7890. I myself have received two calls this week from the same source ie “Online PC Care” and the same number on my call display.
The guy advised that they were working on behalf of Microsoft and were contacting all users of indows XP and 7 to check these computers for unwanted hidden items that could not be picked up through normal updates. They then ask him to go into the ‘Run’ program and enter ‘eventvwr’.
The guy was insistent that this was being done on behalf of MSN and that he was contacting all XP & 7 users.
My friend hung up and called MSN support (1-877-568-2495) who advised that this was a scam and had he done as directed the scam artist would have gained full access to the computer.
MSN advised that “Under no circumstances would MSN/Microsoft ever make an initial telephone call”. They can only call you when you have initiated a request via the internet or their 888 number.
My friend called the police who redirected him to “Phone Busters” (Telecommunications Fraud Bureau 1-888-495-8501 (In the province of Ontario)). Their investigator advised that they have been getting complaints on this scam for close to a month now. It is originating off-shore and they are still tracking them. They advised that if the guy’s instructions had been followed, they would have had full access to the computer and everything on it any time they wanted..- Caller: “Online PC Care”
- Totally Freaked OutI was recently home alone, and this number called me (123 456 7890)
I was scared to death, and I would check around the house constantly to make sure no one was stalking me after reading this,
But anyways, thanks for informing me. I will tell everyone not to pick up the phone if this number phones.
Also, does anyone know who 000-000-0000 is?
My friend got called from this number.- Caller: Supposedly 'Primus'

Even small town villages in alberta are getting calls from this number. Fella that answered was east indian and seem shocked when I told him to take me off his call list, famous last words 'you don't even know why I am calling'.....don't care, quit calling....
- AdeleJust got the call from 1234567890 about 10 minutes ago from the East Indian guy. I picked up the phone and before he could start his spiel I asked who was calling and what he wanted (long distance number has a specific ringtone). He seemed a bit taken aback then he asked if my computer was running slow and I said no, that's when I hung up.
Question: Why would any legitimate company want to hide their phone number
Answer: it's not a legitimate company.
You can report this number to phone busters all you want, they can't do anything about it because it can't be traced.- Caller: Fake computer company
- Call type: Telemarketer
- DeeI got two calls today from this 123-456-7890, and the first one I did not answer. The second one I picked up and said nothing. Several seconds later the person said hello in a foreign voice. How annoying!
- Jan replies to Josh McLellanCalled before 8:00 am this morning in Calgary Canada... Never knew who it was - and I LIKE TO "SPEAK" to telemarketers... no luck this time, never knew about the VOIP address. Blocked their call with *60 service.
- JanHere's another thought:
How do we stop this off shore calling crap? Is this the beginning of Tech Wars? What a waste of my time in having to research this stuff because someone is trying to scam me (and you). Someone in the geek world really needs to send a REALLY BIG HUG in attempts to stop their nonsense.- Caller: 1234567890
