Asked for us by  name I asked who it was it was one of those Mongrels trying to get into our computor so I told him where to get off in no uncertain terms kept ringing this time private I made a loud noise kept ringing my wife got up him kept ringing so I fired a shotgun bedide the phone only rang once more.

The best thing to do is press the # button a bunch of times until they hang up, put them on speaker with another phone on the same line and cause feedback, answer and don't say a word, scream into it as loud as you can, or get it blocked by your provider.

I got a call from that number 1-000-000-0000 please help me figure it out. For more of the info refer back to my comment at 1-000-000-0000.

I answered the phone and an "indian" type accent said he was calling from microsoft and that my computer was infected and sending out signals.  I started to explain I already have a replacement not hooked up. I said something about are you saying I have a virus.  He said no he wasn't talking about wireless.  I tried to explain virus, not wireless.   At that point I realized the call was bogus and hung up.  He did not call back.
I'd like to know how the call comes through.  I  am in the USA.  This is a first.

I have had several calls from this number this past month. Asking for completely the wrong person. Using the Same 'odd' name. They have a strange accent and line isn't very clear. No idea of the company o what they wanted I just said no not that name and put the phone down. Beginning to annoy me now.

I answered the call from this number and the caller has a heavy accent and claims to be a microsoft tech.  He wants remote access to your computer in order to help you avoid having a computer crash due to your message errors. HUGE SCAM!!  I didn't fall for it.

Got a call from  (123)-(456)-(7890) after I *69ed it and an Indian gentalman saying he was from my windows provider. As soon as he said that I knew he was out to scam me. So I played along with it for a while until HE hung up. He said "sir I am your
windows provider and I have detected malicious activity on your windows system". I said what do you mean
like someone is trying to harm my computer? He said yes there has been an attempt to take over my computer by bad people. I asked where are you calling from ?  He said Ontario . Ontario where?  Canada
he said. Then he says I will transfer you to our tech and you will give him your information so he can control  my computer so he can fix the problem.

I asked how do I do that? He says just give the tech my modle and provider for the internet and my password and he will fix everything real quik. I asked who are you again? This was the third time I had asked him and he gave me three diferent names. At this point I think he realized what he did and hung
up on me and I was just starting to have fun.   Just remember folks ! their calling you saying they caught
a Malicious attack and they are the attacker. The first thing is NOBODY is monitoring your computer and if they say they are when did you give permission for anyone to monitor you wile you are on your computer.
It just goes against everything private. The way I look at it is if someone is  monitoring me then they can see me on my web cam? I have told my daughters to keep a peace of black tape over the web cam at all times when they chat on facebook because facebook has everyone sighn on the accept part that facebook has all rights to anything that you put on there and they do not have to give it back to you so I don't trust them.

Years ago I had an unlisted number before they came out with all this caller ID and call block and *67 so the caller can be unknown to me . But when I called someone with my unlisted number someone with caller ID would know my number. I called bell and said you charge me $4 a month to have an unlisted number but anyone can ID me if they have caller ID ? They said I can pay 50cents if I *67 so no body will
see my number. So if I pay $4 a month for caller ID and someone harrasing me does  *67 I can't find out who it is ? Not if they *67 you can't . So I canceled my unlisted number . I wish I did'nt because when my
number was unlisted I never got a call from any tellemarketers. I never evan herd of tellemarketing but I
get calls all the time now . I moved back in 2001 to an other town and at that time they would'nt let me keep my
old number so I got every tellemarketing scam out there. You can't beat progress. Or ma Bell or Rogers.

Just got a call, about 3:00 am.  I woke up  but missed call; looked at caller ID.  I was puzzeled at 1234567890 configuration on display.  Looked up on internet, this site, and now I know, another scam.  Happy New Year!

123 actually is a area code. Its for Oregon.

Got a call from this number today, I'm from Manchester, UK.
Asked for a random name then said bye when I said no one lived here by that name.

I had a missed call from 1234567890 yesterday and I'm in Perth, Australia.  So it's not just a Canadian thing.
