This number (123)-456-7890 is also a "generic" caller ID number provided by the Skype software when you're being phoned by someone using Skype.  This is problematic, because while it's possible that a real friend or associate is trying to call you from somewhere in the world using the 'Net and Skype, it's also become increasingly common for telemarketers and scam artists to "hide" their real identities using Skype rather than the regular phone network.  (They also like Skype because all their calls are flat-rate, whereas they may have to pay on a per-call basis for the use of the POTS network.)

I never answer.  If it's someone I know, they'll leave a message.

By the by, because of this generic caller ID, Skype's becoming increasingly popular with pranksters and a**holes.  I got one Skype call around Christmas last year that consisted of some college student and his buddies berating me over the phone for the better part of several minutes (it was on my voice mail).  They phoned around 3 A.M.

K so this number has been calling my house every single day and every time a calmly say hello
but today it calls and i just yell WHAT????
and there is a guy on the other end wanting to speak to my mom

Claimed to be Primus Canada  a long disntance phone company. Signed up for it. I guess we will see. $1 a month to be with them, but i didn't think I paid anything to be be with the ones who I am currently with. I guess I will find out in a month.

I have been receiving calls from 123-456-7890 almost every day for some time now. There is never a caller on the other end. I called the number back and was told by a recording to hang up immediately and try the number again. Same result. What gives?

Complain to your phone provider, contact your elected representative, and also tell them to pass laws that require phone companies to block stolen mobiles globally and block connections to companies that do not comply. This will destroy the market in stolen phones and help to stop one knife crime motive.

i never got a call from this person-it might be a company or something stupid like that

They calls me 2-3 times a week i asked Telus who says just don't answer because it.s fraud they only wants your credit card number

C’est très bizarre.  Ils m’appellent et j’habite aux Etats-Unis.  Je me demande pourquoi ils m’appellent s’ils sont téléprospecteurs.   Si la personne qui m’appelle me connaît, elle laisserait un message.

i got called by this number and i like in texas? no one said anything

I got a call from this number today and they were telling me that i won a free grant from the fed gov. They were asking me about ss# and bank account# so i think these people are scam artists! The man told me he worked for the Fed Gov but wouldn't give me his title or name...weird!

The 123-456-78900 phone number is Mutual Consolidated Savings calling, Its a phone scam that tries to suck people into giving them their money in exchange for promises to reduce your credit card interest rates.  THey charge a service fee anywhere from 120  to 1200 depending on how much credit card debt you have.  Problem is, they take your money and do NOTHING to reduce your interst rates.  They send you a computer print out of all your debt and payments you should make and show you that instead of it taking 15 years to pay off your debt it will take only 5 if you follow their suggestions and make higher payments on the higher interest cards etc.  TOtal Scam BEWARE!!!

Live in Australia and got a call from these guys... several missed calls and i finally built up the courage to answer it.. it was a guy that said id won a free trip around the world.. i laughed then hung up.. Its a scam.. theyre out to get anyone that falls for this... be wise :)

I got a call from his number and they left a voicemail. It was actually a response to my previous call Doshi Diagnostics billing department. I also figured out that that department of the company is outsourced to India. (I've actually called them a few times, always getting a person with thick Indian accent and when asked to speak to supervisor, you get another Indian.) So I concluded that outsourcing is the reason for this number, so the same number can appear with multiple different companies and telemarketing.

6 calls today from 1234567890. Every time but the last I hit ignor. When I answered some lady was trying to get me to give a cc# and switch service to Telus.

had this call some months ago, now it has started again, no message, impossible to get  to talk to anyone, before it was on a daily basis sometimes more often, just like 866 286 6078,

Please keep complaining, especially those who had fraudulent charges on their credit card.  This is not only limited to those who had fraud on their credit card but you can also complain about dishonest sales practice (they claim they are from your credit card company) or agressive Marketing (too aggressive!)  or they say there will be no charge but you get a $900 surprise on your credit card bill.  Please make sure you answer “no” to the 5 first questions otherwise they refer you to other agencies.

“BBB processed a total of 93 complaints about this company in the last 36 months”  hmmmm...    well what do ya know.  


Please join me!  Let’s make that number increase from 93 to over 100 complaints, to over 1000 complaints!  Their rating is C- but some times goes down to D minus.  Time to get back at them.  Maybe it does not change anything but at least these bottom feeders will be exposed for what they are.   Scammers.

They called me and screamed "We know where you live, the clowns will be their soon, do not worry, your career will be reinstated after your bases are belong to us" and den dey hung up. Like, how immature is that!?

I RECIEVED A CALL FROM 1234567890 AND THE FOREIGN MAN ON THE OTHER END STATED HA HAD A CASE FROM ONE OF MY CREDTORS AND WANTED INFORMATION FROM ME. I FOOFERD NO INFORMATION AND HUNG UP ON HIM!! THEN THE NEXT DAY HE WAS CALLING AGAIN. I SIMPLY TOLD HIM TO STOP CALLING. HE CALLED BACK. SO I LET HIM KNOW IN ANOHTER WAY I DID NOT WANT HIM TO CALL.   SO FAR SO GOOD  BUT WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?????

I got a call from this number but luckily my phone is switch off but i am wondering who is calling me. And I read all this comment and I am afraid maybe someone try to threatening me.
