If this number calls you and you have no dent then you have nothing to worry about... Just talk to them and then they can either remove your number etc. if they don't have your number it may be because you haven't changed it or you were using a different number when obtaining loan.

Odds are it is you that you are after and you are probably not aware you're behind due to possible payments being bounced etc. Nothing bad can come from talking to them and it could save you heaps in fees, your credit rating and even repossession of your vehicle

Had a missed call from these guys who then sent a text as I was unable to answer the phone. When I called back and verified my ID they were really easy to work with.

Seriously it's not a scam, they're just collecting debt that you have. Pay your bills and there's no issue. Stop being [***] when people call you and you might get better responses.

One is not necessarily a moron, these people don't identify themselves, don't say what the call is regarding, and demand personal information.

same as the comments above - I don't feel they are legit as they are not professional and quite threatening on the phone. Legally you don't have to say who you are to anyone but the police. They make the call so should just state who they are not demand to know who you are!! If it's legitimate it would be followed up properly with a letter and it isn't. Doesn't really give me a great impression of St George bank if that is who is behind it

It's St George / Bank of Mekbourne. They called me to remind me my car payment was 10 days overdue.

my husband received a call from the same number with a reference number. when i rang the number and followed the prompts and entered the receipt number it just keeps telling me to enter my ref number. we have never had finsnce on any vehicle ....so i guess its a scam???

It is for customers with an over due car loan with ST GEORGE or CAPITAL FINANCE.

I'm guessing this is some sort of scam. They called my sister and asked for my number. She wouldn't provide it. They quoted a reference number and asked that I call them back and quote that number. I called back and keyed in the reference number the automated voice said "fails to match any account transferring to customer service operator". The operator advised they work for St George car loans, capital finance and bank of Melbourne and they are a debt recovery agency. They asked for the reference number again and checked that. They then  said  it doesn't match anything, the asked for my name and date of birth. I wasn't prepared to advise so I terminated the call. For the record I have had no dealings with any of the financial institutions they claim to represent.

These people call me on private numbers won't tell me were they are calling from

I have had these people call me more than 20 times a day. My car payments are update and actually I am ahead of my payments. I am absolutely sick of getting 20 calls a day when I'm working, it's so unprofessional!!! If I didn't answer the first time, then surely they'd get the hint that I wasn't going to answer the next 1000 calls from them.. Ugh so frustrating!! 😡😡

My home phone number has never been given to anyone and my mobile number is always on all paper work so why the [***] not call my mobile and its not under any act at all to with hold your companys name

these people ring outside of business hours, Sundays etc.  I get up to 6 calls a day. They want personal details from me but refuse to say who they are.

They called many times but left no message. Then Saturday afternoon I answer then receive a text saying call the number only to be told by an auto voice our hours are mon - fri. Wt... then call Monday and I tell them the car loan ended in 2017.   Idiots. Learn to read.
