Got a message on a work mobile no (which i have never given out) to call this number with a reference.
When I called back they asked my name, and the number they had called.
They than proceeded to request whether two different persons where on the other end of the line (none of which were me, or the previous owner of the mobile phone no who held my position).
I would be very careful in dealings with anyone calling from this phone number based on previous posts.

I have had these people call twice looking for my sister in law. They have been respectful and courteous on both occasions. I think if people took responsibility for THEIR debts companies like this wouldn't be needed but unfortunately they don't. I hope they catch up with my sister in law sooner rather than later....

You make a good point yes make payment 5 10 $ this is not likely to happen also don't compare owing money to your mother to a pestering orginsation when a payment arrangement is in place you call and try to trap people into giving access to your bank account. Understand half of the reason why people lend money is becease situation are dire and people are in bad places. This is coming from a third person perspective I myself have no outstanding but I have heard the trickry that orginisations try to employ its not just threats or bullying be aware of rights you do have. Ie you can choose to have any further matters in reguards ur matters delt through email. If you dtill recieve harrasing/pestering calls the orginisation can be breached.

I just got a cold call from 1300722974 demanding to know my name and whether the phone was mine.   When I asked them who they were they were very evasive and said they were a brisbane company and then asked me if this was  my phone.   I said yes and they then said my name and asked me if that was who I was.   When I asked them again who they were they said again brisbane company but said I had to give them my birth day and year.  When I said no I don't give that info out to strangers over the phone they said they couldn't proceed after I asked again what this was about.   I know I don't have debts.  I now realise through the Internet that the phone number belongs to state mercantile.   What I don't understand is the covert way they behave.

These DEBT COLLECTORS have more mobile numbers than WALTER WHITE! They never identify who they are and just continue to try and catch you out. Just play their game. Don't answer their calls, block them and save every number that calls and name it. You will end up with a long list of mobile numbers!!

i keep getting calls i am not the person they want i keep telling them that and they keep calling.. i have a 0882170000 number..  i was threatened by the girl so i hung up and will each time from now on.

Received a call this morning for my son. The operator maria refused to tell me what about. Interesting point, my landline number is only new and my son's name is not on the number. Having looked up the number, I have found this site. He has no debts. I am his financial manager as he has a disability.  I will deal with them later, when he comes home and they allow me to talk for him. Watch this space.

I recently purchased a tab for my 3 y.o daughter and immediately after charging it and activating the service came the first call. Not from 1300722974 but from a mobile number 0435695387 from some mutt named Alyssa or Selina (name changes due to the quality of telstras msg to txt service) looking for someone that used to own this phone number. Ive kindly explained to mutt that i dont know mystery woman and this tablet is used solely for childrens learning programs and to never call this number again. But she continued to ask me questions about this unknown woman and how long ive had this number for as if i was speaking to a brick wall so at this point i figure that kindly explaining things to this woman doesnt seam to enter her ear so i start hurling abuse because obiously no one on the opposite end is listening. Turns out that mutt does have working ears (2 of them apparently) and a very foul, unprofessional mouth of her own. Since then ive blocked all calls from being recieved to this number because of the sake of my daughters vocabulary. But since recently unbarring calls ive reciever over 30 missed calls from the same mobile number asking for the same mysterious woman and asking her to call the 1300 number immediately. So it appears that alyssa/selina isnt a brick wall does have 2 ears but their is nothing in between them to stop the info from flowing straight out the other side
