    rude [***] guy. Didn't even let me finish greeting and he was asking for someone who retired years ago.  When I said he's not here anymore he simply hung up.  If only I could reach through the phone and grab the guy by the neck.  Maybe knock a little sense into that empty skull.  Either way, I enjoy VOIP with automatic call routing.  He's now dumped into a never ending phone loop should he call again.... I love electronics today!

    Please Hold...
    I received a call from this number twice today.  Never answered, but attempted to call back from land line (blocked my number) and after a lengthy delay, received an automated response that the call could not be completed as dialed.  Thank you to previous posters.  As a side note, if you wish to speak with a person to try to get your number removed, start speaking in a made up language and you may end up getting a person to speak with depending on the company as the automated programs can not translate and redirect you to an operator about half of the time.  I generally will take whatever document I can find on the desk and "read" it in the made up language.  Spanish will almost always result in the computer recognizing it and the subsequent message being presented in Spanish.  When you get to a person, ask to be removed.  Again, this process has worked for me about half the time.

    They called 3 times today. I finally answered. It was a woman at a call center calling to say I didn't renew my warranty on my 2008 Chevy. I told her we didn't need a warranty and we were on the do not call list. She said she could call me because we had done business with them in the past through our car company. I told her that wasn't true and she hung up on me.

    I don't live in New Jersey, but I do own a Chrysler (Dodge). There was no message left and when I tried to return the call from a different phone it was either busy or wouldn't connect. This is definitely a bogus number

    If they are calling to get you to buy an auto warranty tell them you no longer own that vehicle.

    Why would anyone answer a call from Rochelle NJ. It has got to be someone that you don't want to talk to, otherwise they wouldn't hide their name. The number is either a call center that make calls for someone that you don't want to talk to. We block everything except local area codes with a Digitone call blocker. It it is an actual person calling they will call back a second time; then we'll pickup. Caller ID is no help; we can't be running to the phone for low lifes... or political calls either for that matter.

    Unhappy
    I received calls several weeks ago (at an unholy early hour) regarding an extended warranty on a vehicle that I do not now own, nor have I ever.  The second person I spoke with said that they would add me to their do not call list.  Fast forward to today, and the rudest, most hateful person I have ever had the displeasure of speaking with.  When I explained that someone a few weeks ago had added me to their do not call list, she immediately said that I had done business with them before and that her call wasn't illegal.  She then proceeded to tell me that I obviously didn't know which cars I owned and that I needed to update my credit report.  What?  I've never owned the car that they have been calling about (I've only owned 2 cars...I think I would know if this was one of them).  I would love to say that I won't answer the phone again, but odds are I will.  And I will continue to pursue this until I have some sort of resolution.

    Don't get mad get EVEN
    They have called me previously from this number (Hackensack NJ) and the rude guy I spoke with claimed to be a rep for a warranty company that deals with my car dealership and were calling after my "failure to respond" to previous mail attempts at extending my vehicle warranty. He used pressure tactics and attempted intimidation ("repairs on your model vehicle cost several thousand dollars, I'm a mechanic I would know"). Seriously? A mechanic working the phone lines? These idiots crack me up. Now they call and upon answer it clicks and goes dead, returned call says number is disconnected. Next time they call I'm gonna blare a horn in the microphone....   >:}

    Its Your Resume!
    Many of you are posting wondering where scammers are getting your phone numbers.  I have found that many times I get scam calles if I post my resume on Monster.com, CareerBuilder.com, or other job board websites.  Many times, I have also found that some of the job boards will post your information on the internet in a broad form rather than just on their website.  Another words, if I type in my name in a search engine website (such as Google, Bing, etc). the way it shows on my resume, then all of a sudden I find an posting that shows my entire resume for all the world to see.  No one is made to log into that certain job board or pay a fee to see my resume, etc.  Its as if you were doing a simple search on the internet for a generic item.

    ResumeBucket.com is one such website.  Even though I never signed up to use their specific website, they took it upon their self to get my resume off of either Monster.com or CareerBuilder.com and post it on their site.  When I did an indepth research hunt to find a phone number for ResumeBucket.com and called them to complain that I never signed up to their website nor did I appreciate them fully broadcasting my resume on the internet for anyone to read; they were shocked that I was not happy about them "doing me a favor" and "helping me with my job search."  What damn right dodoes a resume posting site have to assume I or anyone else wanted their help in the first place, if I did not actually sign up to use them!...Let alone that they ignorantly and irresponsibly posted my resume as a broad search link on they internet!

    The resume websites are really the ones that we should be complaining about getting Washington D.C. to heavily fine if our personal contact information is being sold, given out, or erroniously displayed for all the world to get ahold of and use for scamming purposes!  The resume websites need to be held accountable for what they do with the information they collect from people that are using their websites.  If Monster.com, CareerBuilder.com, or any other resume website cannot secure our personal information, then they should not be in the business of collecting the information in the first place.  If they want to own and run such a business, then they need to be willing to be responsible and accountable for the personal information that they are using to make the millions and billions of dollars!...Otherwise, they need to forefit and terminate the business!
